The ghosts scared Luigi so much, he forgot that he could jump really high.

It isn't about the challenge, it is about the story telling. What a pleasant seasonal special

"You have to water plants in this game for the best ending"
Man I can't believe Omori really ripped this game off like that.

Yeah sam great video and all but I'll admit it would be a lot scarier if you beat luigis mansion with only spiders

2:36 uhhh idk, I'd argue it's...more "flashy" now

It's not about avoiding the flashlight, it's about avoiding the friends we made along the way.

It's always Halloween with me.

You can activate Clairvoya's crystal ball by aiming at it in scan-mode, so the actual minimum is 14 flashlight uses total

Hey I dunno if this would work with the fortune teller, but the 3ds version lets you use the strobulb from dark moon instead of the flashlight to catch ghosts if you prefer. It's way worse and the controls are worse,  but the strobulb by definition, is not the flashlight...

the "footage unrelated" part with luigi spinning around while you talk about the ice medallion made me laugh so hard

"the real challenge was the friends we made along the way"

Accurate. Far too accurate.

This was fantastic. I love how the vast majority of these challenges are just "okay HOW do we make it through the first area" and then you just breeze on by.

Fun fact, time being a Human invention was the original basis for Halloween.  Samhain as it was known was the Celtic New Year, and as the night between two years it wasn't part of the Mortal year & therefore not subject to Mortal laws, resulting in the night the Dead could return.

Good job Sample, you gave Luigi a permanent fear of the dark and PTSD, even breaking his bones with al those dang clips, are you happy now.

You're a fantastic script writing and reader, even since the first Kirby TAS video

holy crap, it IS Halloween a year later when this was recommended to me D:

I happened here in a mini-binge of "can you beat _ without _" videos that led me here, and thoroughly enjoyed this short but sweet special. Love your use of PVZ music and even though it makes the challenge, not much of a challenge. It's still really cool to see such a glitch used to bridge the gap into avoiding nearly any more flashes.

That being said how dare you close the video with Mari's theme I didn't plan on shedding a tear to start my day but HERE WE ARE

the pvz theme coming in had me GROOVIN', excellent music as always

PS: the negative zone is a baller reference

For some random reason, this game scared me shitless as a kid. I don’t know why. It wasn’t even that scary, looking back, and I am still not even an adult yet. I was like 8 at the time, now I am almost 17-

I’m the dude who originally found the out of bounds glitch like, idk around ten years ago when I was one of the only ones speed-running this game. However, it was others that saw my video (posted on another channel) of the glitch that discovered how to tilt Luigi and eventually be able to skip to the game! It’s honestly a good but also weird feeling to see people take your discovery to beat the game in less than 10 minutes, and also create content like this.
