Soooo 00:50 didn’t render. It was basically showing that ThredUP is now using AI to show what an item might look like on a model. I’m so mad that part didn’t render 😭

Scotty-I have on my Pinterest board loads & loads of DIY pins where you take & insert embroidery from tablecloths to MAKE bell bottoms.  You could cut them off at the knees, insert some embroidery to make the "bell" larger & hide the seam where you reattach the leg with a strip of flat lace or trim.

For the bell bottoms, you could cut them to length(minus a seam allowance to fold under for a hem), use a seam-ripper to remove the stitches up the outside seams of the legs as much as you’d like.
Then you can add a coordinating or contrasting fabric in the triangle-shaped hole.  There are a few ways to do it but I had to add flares to a pair of pants for cosplay once and I found some tips on YouTube for it too! I think I searched “add flare to pants” or “making a bell bottom gusset” or something! 💜

That vest is everything 👏🏻
As a corset that would be PERFECT
I’ve always wanted to learn to make my own clothing and have only crocheted a few pieces for myself and friends- so a video on making a corset would be awesome ✨

So many nice things. That blue dress goes wonderfully with your hair and skin tone

You're one of the main thrifting-related channels I watch, and for the past little while I've been noticing celestial decor in a way I have not done since my room was decked out with suns and moons in the early 2000s. Really wish I still had a couple of those pieces, would be nice to pass them on to someone who would appreciate them in a whole new way!

Vest to corset idea: purple back fabric and lacing so all your renfair garb matches, also, gold colored/metal tips to match the suns and moons

Girl! Don't feel guilty <3 treat yo self! (It also makes great content, which is a win-win) Just glad to see you back and well. I can imagine how you were feeling, especially since showing your face is part of your job!

Blue looks great on you ❤

I personally think bellbottoms with the seam across the thigh look really cool. Basically cut the legs at a diagnonal across the thighs and sew the bottoms back on carefully, so the seams still match up. However you should check when the flare begins, because with this technique they might not be as tight around the knees.

The cleanest/easiest way to hem your bellbottoms is to follow the basic steps in creating bellbottoms from straight or tapper legged pants. You should be able to find a million tutorials on this. (Tmyers handmade has dozens of YT videos that are easy to follow and dont require any sewing experience).

Again, you can find videos walking you through all of this, but if you break it down to the most basic instructions it’s something like this:

1. Cut pants to desired length(plus hem allowance).  Hold onto the fabric you cut away.
2. Open side seam (or cut one) from bottom hem up about 4 or 5 inches depending on your preference. You’ll be able to open it up like a PacMan mouth.
3. Cut a wedge of fabric to fit into the PacMan mouth. Depending on how much fabric you need you may have to cobble together two or three long skinny pizza slices of your salvaged material.  Or you can pick new fabric or ruffles or lace, etc.
4. Fold over and finish the bottom hem.

This may sound like more work than chopping a section out  and moving the knee up, but I think this gives more wiggle room for little mistakes and I think will be more comfortable than having an extra seam running across your knee.

Best of luck. I hope you give this a go mostly because I want to see what you create next after unlocking the bellbottoming super power.

Love, love, LOVE the unicorn tapestry pillows!!! ❤

YAYYY SCOTTY VID FOR WHILE I CROCHET

sew channels down the outer seams and make them length adjustable? then when you wear flats you can cinch them up, and if you wear platforms you can let them down.

Hem the green pants and then add the extra panel of fabric on the side to create the bell bottom if there's enough fabric

I have unicorn defends from Selkie. Hands down my favorite dress!

I'm with you with Thredup. Ups and downs. I have been on medical leave and have done my share of retail therapy as well. I have my eyes on a recreated Victorian hand belt on La Femme En Noir.

I have that sun and moon pillow.

You should definitely make a corset out of that vest! 😍👍
