Be the first to watch my Dallas Jenkins Interview! - www.snipesupport.com

Unless they got permission from the Chosen production team, they can't edit the show.

Knowing the church the way I do (I'm a recovering Mormon), I would not be surprised in any way that they would do such a thing.

Fair topic and good questions.

I'm Christian but the logic is goofy.
Some points I've noted.
1) The Bible is infallible
2) The Chosen is based on the Bible but does have many artistic liberties that are not contained directly in the Bible.
3) If you change "The Chosen" you are changing the Bible.

Sounds like we are making The Chosen scripture.
The Chosen is awesome! But even Dallas knows it's not scripture.

Bothers me. Slippery slope.

I wonder if Dallas can do something legal about them messing with his show

Hi Brandon,
I believe that original series should remain intact when hosted on any platform. Should a platform license or broadcast a series, it ought to be presented in its original, unedited form without alterations.

Hey there, the chosen sleuth you probably heard of me in comments. If you haven’t that’s OK. The chosen has been one of the founding parts of my faith in 2024. I started watching it and in the past two years I’ve watched five seasons total.

i thought that only Amazon Prime and the chosen app can show the Chosen

I agree, shouldn't be changed!

This is scarry❤

Way back before there was streaming and before there was cable:
The major networks would air major movies, perhaps once a year. There would often be minor cuts so that the movie would fit into the allotted time. An effort was made to cut only very minor moments that would in no way change the story. BYU-TV probably had to seek out where they could cut in this same way. This is a difficult task for editors in modern times because the length of episodes can vary so much.

I doubt is Dallas would allow this!

I would have a problem if they did allow for it. That is a compromise.

I always watch your replays 😅

This looks like something that needs some follow up (on this channel, I mean), preferably a statement from Dallas himself. Because, like you indicated, if some of it is adjusted by one platform, who's to say some other platform won't change something more crucial - on the grounds that this example gives them license.
Your title made me hesitate to watch, but it turned out nicely balanced and fair-minded.

As a Christian songwriter, I would definitely try and stop anyone who tried to change any of my songs. Even if it didn’t change the message of the song, it sets a precedence.

Isn't it a copyright violation?????

Could it be as simple as they're making it fit certain time allotments?  The changes you mentioned don't seem to changing things that change the show?
