Philippians 4:13 - "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me"

Desmond Doss is a hero and great saint! Thank you for highlighting this story. The way he exemplified Jesus' sacrificial love is rare and touching.

I taught my kids about Desmond Doss as part of our history curriculum. Homeschooling is awesome

He was a devoted Christian. ❤ The power of God worked through that man. Amen.

I was just telling a best friend who is a new Christian about Desmond Doss 2 days ago. This is really an amazing story!

Spiderman taking miracles seriously? Not surprised

You missed the story where a Japanese soldier testified that his sniper rifle kept jamming everytime he tired to shoot at Desmond. Shooting others worked. But when aiming at Desmond his rifle would jam.

If I recall correctly I watch the documentary where he said he was praying the entire time what gave him the strength to get one more.

Makes me wonder how many miracles we've actually seen but we've just never paid attention.

With God, all things are possible.

I thought you would mention the Japanese sniper David

A Christian missionary got into contact with a Japanese sniper who served at hacksaw ridge and he recounted his encounter with Desmond Doss, according to the sniper, he had a clear shot at an unarmed medic lowering wounded soldiers down the cliff side but when he would squeeze the trigger, his rifle would jam. He tried to clear it and fire again but again it jammed so he tried shooting something other than Desmond and what do you know- the rifle fired this time!

Like... The amount of fuel his body must have burned for such "workout" is insane. And dehydration. I assume not much of a food station under fire there. Adrenaline alone? No... His heart would have exploded if he could produce that much...

Hacksaw ridge is my fav film that's not about jesus. A shame Andrew isn't a christian

With his work in Hacksaw Ridge and Silence, I’m not surprised he’s been thinking a lot about God and faith. Pray for him.

This is the moment when I discover that Andrew Garfield is British. 😳

Vince Vaughn was great playing his seargent in Hacksaw Ridge.

In the movie the soldiers refused to climb up that cliff without him.
They considered him their guardian angel and someone that could get them back home again.

My favourite movie of all time

Hacksaw

The finger print of God in all of creation makes good sense
