It seems like the divorce one could backfire. If he's autistic and unemployed, he presumably doesn't have much income/wealth. He may end up getting half of her assets.

Google WILL nuke your account under certain circumstances (e.g. if they decide you're using it for sex work), and if they go that far you're not getting any of it back. Don't rely on one company to hold all of your important data!!

The one time I did an online bet I won £50 with the free introductory bet they gave me. They then suspended my account

The cat one makes me think that the pet sitter accidentally/intentionally killed the cat and are now trying to find a way to cover it but god I hope not

The fraud divorce story reminds me of another story where the OP was a woman who was actually subpoenaed to take a paternity test despite being biologically female and unable to father children. Turns out the woman suing the OP was trying to prove that OP's male cousin was the father of her child but the cousin had completely ghosted her so she tracked down OP instead. For a further twist, OP was adopted and didn't share any DNA with that cousin.

With the cat one, if anyone ever steals your pet make sure you alert all the vet clinics around your and the pet sitters house, giving the cat’s appearance, microchip number and if possible the sitters names and details. Reduces the risk of someone getting your pet euthanised without your permission and vets may (emphasis on may, not all will) be able to hold your pet rather than letting the sitter take them away again if they know the animal is stolen.

This is also the case with any pet-napping or custody case of an animal. Call or email all the nearby vets.

Pet theft in the uk has just been reclassified as abduction of a family member

She's not planning to divide assets. She's planning to settle out of court.

The counseling isn't her backing out. She's making sure her she looks legit as possible while stressing you out

Once you turn her down she will continue to pressure and stress you until your family is willing to pay out.

Reach out to the disabled community. She's probably done this before.

Honestly this is just weird on the ‘friends’ part. Yes it’s weird,  it if I saw something weird like that on a friends device I would just put it away and pretend it never happened.

But calling the police?

On top of that, the ‘friend’ is also trying to get her fired, straight up. There is absolutely no reason to tell the woman’s boss about this. To me, it sounds like that ‘friend’ was just looking for an excuse to ruin this woman’s life. As far as I know, it’s not illegal. Unless you could consider it against Skyrim’s policies, but I’m pretty sure that’s more of a suing situation, not a go to jail situation.

I work in IT and the company has been pushing the use of AI to "help" us. And I'll admit it is actually quite good at troubleshooting PC issues and telling us how to fix them, but it's come to the point where whenever I ask my manager a question about something I'm not sure about, the first answer I get is " have you asked the AI"? Fuck the AI, I'm not going to train something that will eventually take over my job.

I knew a doctor whose wife divorced and gained most of their assets without him ever knowing. She said she was going to have to help take care of her mom in another state who was very ill. She stayed long enough to become a resident of the state and kept extending it due to the mom’s “condition”, even though she would come back from time to time. That state had an option to announce your divorce in the newspaper if the spouse wasn’t reachable or responding and would allow you to proceed without the spouse after a certain time. The doc, who was in his 60’s by then, got a call from a friend asking how he was doing after the divorce. He had no idea what the friend was talking about. And he was still regularly talking to and seeing his wife of 30 years. Since she handled their finances, she moved things around according to the divorce decree and he didn’t have enough money to fight it. He ended up working until he died in his 80’s because he couldn’t afford not to. Sad story. He worked so hard all his life to be able to retire by 65 and travel with his wife. She disappeared once he found out about the divorce.

Cussing at AI shouldn't be punished; you should get a monetary reward if you manage not to. I got an email about a hostess job at a restaurant and when I clicked on the link, it then linked me to another page where it directed me to apply by talking to an AI chatbot. Idiotic.

I'm sorry, THEY INSTALLED CAMERAS IN YOUR SCHOOL WASHROOM??

The Skyrim story: believable as the UK police will do ANYTHING to avoid addressing violent crime, it’s why you see so many computer based arrests.

Well stealing a cat is theft, as cats are considered property.
Go to the police and demand they attend to keep the peace as they retrieve it

Some of these HAVE to be ragebait.

20:45 surely if your name is on the microchip deets then the cat is your legal property. Call the cops about theft

Mate, my dinner’s still stuck behind the Strait of Hormuz - can you hold off for a bit?

Woman: Has a few bizarre fetishes, confines them to fiction like a responsible adult should
Some absolute snitch: "Hey guys, look at this! Look at this! Look at this! Ain't this messed up? Look at this!"
The Police, Apparently: Kinkshames with punitive intent
As I understand it, UK police will do literally anything but their job and then rush into action exactly where their services are are the furthest possible thing from necessary. This isn't helping them against those allegations, at all.
