bro if someone has enough time to put up CURTAINS at a FESTIVAL it has to be so boring

people at UK festivals would walk into those fancy gazebo setups from coachella as if they were shops on site

I'm not particularly inclined to go to a UK festival but seeing those Americans bring their living rooms to festivals for tiktok views makes me feel really patriotic about UK festivals.

Imagine making room for all that shit, even a cactus, and not bring your own soap or shower gel

How bad is the music at coachella that you need to recreate your living room just to pass the time?

I've not been to a festival in many a year but my only criteria for my 'festival outfit' was 'will I care when it's inevitably ruined by a flying plastic pint pot of piss?'

Big difference is they don't have to move any of their stuff. Every UK festival has you parking a mile from the campsite. I reckon Americans would hyperventilate if they were ever more than a couple of metres from a car

"Hey, Pedro! I totally sprayed your name all over your own ten--   Oh."

I'm only 20 seconds into the video and already baffled at this guy explaining how seeing an artist he liked "put him behind" on his influencer filming and luxury camping setup... like, dude. Isn't that the whole reason you go to a festival? To see concerts? Are people only going to coachella for the content and not for live music? We've lost our way

European festivals are the best. 200 euros for a week of drunken debauchery with better music than flipping coachella

As an American, Coachella is rich and only rich. It has turned into the biggest influencer event, they aren't there for the concert. They are there to say they were there and the photos and brand deals

i haven’t eaten in 2 weeks george please

My mate visited me on the way back from a 4-day festival in the UK. He was in my house for 2 hours and he was in such a state that when he had a shower he infested my whole bathroom with insects and we had to redecorate after they kept coming back a year later. I never told him.

As a 52 year old it warms my heart to see kids doing dumb shit at festivals
edit: just seen the US version of festivals... why bother even going 'camping' if you're going to that extreme

that guy's "tent" is better and bigger than my bedroom.

Americans glamping ❌
UK camping ✅

Camped at the 24hr Nurburgring festival a couple years back. Arrived with 3 tents, returned with 2 after 1 was burned down during the great Anglo-German firework battle (the only British casualty of the conflict).

It will never not be funny that Americans, who call us Europoors, can’t accept that their influencer olympics Coachella where no one dances is inferior to swimming in mud, shit and piss for 3 days in a field in the UK. Truly culture.

These people at coachella haven’t had a 16 year old lad dropped on their head while waiting to see an artist and it shows

Having worked in the festival industry for about a decade, it's always interesting seeing US festival culture compared to the UK culture.
I've seen people sleeping in broken tents, tents they were too drunk to put up so use the tent like a giant sleeping bag.
