If you like cave videos subscribe, I'll be making more of them soon!

who keeps bringing CHILDREN to these and not paying attention to where they go????

I feel bad for the kids whose dad decided that an adrenaline rush was more important than his family.

The stick figure drawings are so much more enjoyable to watch than repeating stock footage.

They also make it easier to understand whats going on.

Commented before people said the best thing about caving is that you don’t have to do it

Next level psychotherapy: “you are not cave diving, your life is beautiful”

The worst ones are the ones where they made good decisions and were well prepared but disaster just struck hard.

EDIT
Wow so many people are triggered by the way I misspelled disaster. Im no native speaker bruh and in my language a similar word is spelled with an e.

Guys with gasoline... It is just new level of stupidity...

Me and my dad always went to caves here in Germany, but I’m talking no squeezes, no climbs, just giant, well-mapped, well-maintained, well-lit, safety-prepared tourist caves and mines with guided tours, filled with children and old people.

They were more like underground museums with safety ramps, artificial exits and constructed staircases.

But all of that didn’t help when we visited this one cave.

It was a sunny day and we had been inside for about two hours with around twenty other people and a tour guide, and then it started to rain.

We wouldn’t have known, if not for the water rushing in extremely quickly, running down the stone steps and turning them slick and wet. You wouldn’t believe how fast an average-sized room can fill with water.

We had to walk a good 500 meters to reach the exit, fighting against calf-high current, and it was not easy, especially when you can’t see the ground or any holes or crevices anymore.

It was scary, it was LOUD and it was really bad. We stayed calm and everyone got out, but even the guide was worried, because that day had record-high rainfall.

This was a tourist site for children and the elderly, a cave without squeezes or climbs, a cave with lights and safety features, and that was still the last time we ever went into a cave together.

My mom had waited outside in the car, because she was the smart one and she was freaked out that day!

She saw the water rushing into the entrance like crazy and had already called for help, and even though it wasn’t needed, I’m 11/10 grateful she did, because the elderly were terrified too.

Bless you, Mom, I love you and forever will!

The worst part of the Sergei Kozeev in Veryovkina cave wasn't mentioned. Apparently the body was found hanging from a rope (and not face up in the water), and the retrieval of the body was so complicated due to the tight passages (and probably due to the stiffness of the body caused by rigor mortis) that the rescuers had to DISMEMBER the body to take him out. They had permission from the wife, of course, and another theory is that Sergei died from a fall and not only hypothermia. But it is true that Sergei did not have the proper gear to climb back up, and probably he realized that too late, and thus he just kept descending.

I love the facial expressions of the rescue teams, baddasses and they know it

Videos like these show me what I am not missing out on

500k for the death of a student when they assured its safe, its just not enough, the damage in the family and the trauma on them is irreversible, 500k is just nothing...

This should be a mandatory video for every cave diver before they do anything

My only question watching each of these was "yeah... but why?"

Why do people see how happy their lives are and go "hmm let me go into earth's small intestines."

Killiansburgh cave nightmare that Mother was excellent. She got her boy out of an impossible situation. Her incline or pulley was love. The only extraordinary thing about Killiansburgh Cave was that Mom!!!

I live in whangarei, the abbey caves incident is still talked about a lot. The teacher that gave the go ahead for the trip was a pe teacher that worked at boys high for over 20 years, but was fired due to this incident. Also - in most whangarei schools, the caving trips are mandatory. You quite literally won’t pass PE classes if you don’t do it. I remember going into abbey caves and seeing a weta and running out the cave 😭

This narrow passage in the cave is what separated casual explorers from decaying corpses

Great thing is the only cave I will explore is minecraft’s cave. Hell no for me to squeeze myself through rocks just to go into the deep dark cramped hole. I don’t want to be another trouble for the rescue team.

3:02 these people who do this rescue work need to be recognized and appreciated! Talk about "hard work"! Imagine you go in to save someone and you yourself gets stuck! Or a collapse happens or something! They're taking that risk every on every rescue mission!
