If you need a replacement, or have a complaint about an item from Dick Blick don’t use email, but call them on their customer service 1-800 number. I have never have any problem when I called them, they promptly solved the problem and also rushed the shipping. Good luck!

Stephanie, I love your videos and look forward to them. I hope you aren’t put off by rude commenters. It is your own business what supplies you purchase or agree to try out. I appreciate your reviews and watching you test new supplies!

Such a great haul!

Thank you for NOT swatching every. single. color. of every. single. item! If colors need to be swatched, I would prefer that they be swatched ahead of time and then shown to us already completed. It just saves so much time that way. 😊

Also, with the Paul Reubens watercolor set, It's really a great idea that they don't include browns, because browns are so easy to make, and not including pre-made browns allows them to give us more beautiful colors. 🎉

Hey Stephanie, hope your 2026 is going well...as a fellow American, I think most of us have to work a bit harder on the positives of life these days, with so many shocking & scary things going on. My heart is heavy. I'm so grateful to have my art and creativity during these days of stress & uncertainty!

But I'm sitting here watching your video and finally opening up what must be the cheapest gouache ever. It's a set of 20 gelli gouache paints from Five Below that I paid $5 for. That's rock-bottom cheap. Actually my motivation in buying them was that each cup has a snap-on lid and I could reuse or re-purpose the cups. But as I'm opening them, after I peel away the foil and put the lids back on, I'm not hearing much snap! uh oh 😮 I guess lids with "snap" cost more. 😟
I thought I might even remove
the paint and put some of my better flat acrylic gouache in them. But not unless I put a rubber band around each one to keep the lid tight. But I have to say...as I opened each cup, the colors in each cup were so pretty, it made me happy just to look at all those yummy colors!

p.s. They had another set of gelli gouache that actually had like 30 colors. But I don't think the containers had separate lids and each color was less paint.

Oh I do miss your hauls! Would love to see what you are creating with your art products!

I love soft pastels, I have learnt that all the art supplies I love the most are the messy ones like charcoal and pastels ❤

@Itsallgoingtobeokay-d2w 5 months ago

I LOVE Derwent drawing pencils. Buttery soft. I only have a few but I just love the colour range, thickness
and softness!

I had no problem getting a replacement when I recieved damaged products from blick

Happy new year Stephanie, I bought the 36 set of drawing pencils for christmas, I regret not getting the 72 set now they are gorgeous!!!!

@cynthiamaynard 7 months ago

My Sennelier pencils arrived broken too. I was so surprised, as I am a big Blick fan.

@Itsallgoingtobeokay-d2w 5 months ago

Poor packaging! Jackson's packaging are the best!

@art_files 7 months ago

Thanks for the interesting video! You can easy mix brown by combining the three primary colors (red, yellow, blue) or by mixing two complementary colors (opposite on the color wheel, like red & green, blue & orange, or yellow & purple)

The Fuumuui case is intended for brushes.

I've never had Blick package items like that. I hope that's a one order issue. l keep that Caran D'ache extender in my saved for later. It's just so pricey for what it is. I'm sure I'll cave one day and get it. Great video. I'm doing a low buy year too. Be blessed. 😊

hi Stephanie!!! Excuse me where did you bought your pencil caddy??? I wanna buy one as yours!!! thank you in advance =)

@shadowguard3578 7 months ago

Hey friend! I saw your TN Love & Trip regular and passport size. Seeing them with your bear charms made me smile. I put my larger bear charm around the middle like you, and then I attached the small bear charm on the string used as the bookmark. How do you use the passport size TN? I’ve seen some content creators use them as wallets. They buy the cloth/canvas zipper insert and the card holder. Interesting way to make it functional as an everyday item.

Such a shame about the broken Sennelier pastels. Years ago I received a broken Copic Ciao marker, but I don’t remember which online store it was from. I emailed them and sent photos. Subsequently the art store sent a replacement. Your pastels are still usable so I’m not sure what the store will do, but no harm asking.

I enjoyed seeing your fountain pen collection. I never thought I’d buy one ever again, but fast forward four decades, last month I bought two: the Platinum carbon artistry which came with four carbon black cartridges and are waterproof, and I purchased a Kaweco Sport. Both fountain pens have gold colored nibs, I’m a gold nib person 😊. I’m going to stop with two fountain pens… I hope😅. I totally understand you being unsure how much to share. Show what you feel comfortable sharing. Very nice haul! 😊❤

I’ve had some issues with blick orders as well, they usually respond by email but I’ve double emailed once when they didn’t respond. They do always correct the mistake. It’s just annoying when I’m opening an order, making sure everything is accounted for😭

Stephanie, hi again! I tried to post a comment here that contained a link, but I guess it got deleted or removed because of it.
I’ll try again, without the link.
You mentioned in this video that you don’t like the touch of pastels. Dick Blick carries something that is called ‘finger cots’ that cover only your fingertips, as opposed to wearing a latex glove for hours on end. If you are not allergic to latex you might want to give them a look, see if they are something that could help you in your art practice. I even reuse them if, by the end of a session, they don’t get too icky, or torn.

Wrap some tape around your pencils until they fit the Caran D'ache crayon holder.

I wish artists would stop talking about “low buy” or “no buy.” Do you really want to put the manufacturers of your favorite watercolor products out of business? If people just shopped responsibly all year long then they wouldn’t have to pretend that they’re going to do a low buy or no buy.
