We all know they hide our history...thank you for making these videos

History deserved to be kept and not forgotten.  Thank you.

I'm Oglala. Rape is bad no matter what reason. 💔

I think they should have left her with the chief to raise their son in peace.  Surely this separation and the death of the boy, and the perpetual mistreatment by her husband destroyed her.  I hope she is resting peacefully with her loved ones now.

Quite a story! it deserves to be remembered.

Never forget history
Never forget who you are
Never forget who's your enemy

Really quite a sad story, thanks!

Thank you for sharing this and for sharing the book title too.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

The Searchers John Wayne movie pretty accurate

Stockholm syndrome, and the fact people married fast back then. I think she picked an unmanly, emotionally abusive man to marry.

Przecież to była ziemia siuksow

Yep. They were all about preserving their land haha

6:50 I think that statement is her wishing for the best of 2 evils.
May she rest in peace.

Not ancestor but descendant.😅🎉

I don't see how her husband would look upon her misfortune as infidelity. She might have made the mistake of mentioning the chief was kind to her and it stoked his anger instead of his gratitude. It does sound like she would have been better off with the chief. I can see why you would think "something" hastened her sons demise and I am inclined to agree. Arsenic, cyanide and strychnine were commonly available and was often at the center of a plot to murder because the symptoms mimicked other illnesses.

I like the stories but,  the pictures shown of someone else sucks . If you don't have a pic , just says so and leave it at that .

I wish that they had left her with the chief

The victim gets the blame, but it sounds like she loved her Indian husband more. The military probably took her forcibly, i wouldnt doubt her husband had something to do with the childs death, so sad.
