Remember the Chief said he's from New York. Filmed in Martha's Vineyard. Dukes County, Massachusetts.

I always enjoy when Hooper's about to get in the water to check Ben Gardner's boat all the "Whys", "He's not getting in the water", etc. And I think "Wait a couple minutes and you'll see why!"

Over fifty years old, and still one of the best ever made.

Just remember this was rated PG. My parents brought us to see this movie in 1975. I was in the 5th grade. Still my favorite movie.

Jaws came out in 1975. Last year we saw it in IMAX. They brought it back in theaters.

Movie's fictional Amity is set in New England. The actual Amityville is on Long Island, NY. Movie was filmed in Martha's Vineyard.

The man who was doing the "news broadcast" on the beach scene was actually the author who wrote the book "Jaws".

In 1975 a teacher took my class to the cinema to look at this movie, he toId the school board that we went to see a museum 😀, went to see it 5 or 6 times. First blockbuster. It gave sharks a bad name since the movie and idd a lot of people were afraid to go in the sea.

I'm Gen-X and we watched that as a kid. I jumped out of my skin when the decapitated head fell out of the boat.

One of the two kids who swam with the fake fin -"He made me do it!" - is now Chief of Police at Martha's Vineyard, the real life Amity Island. He hasn't had to deal with any sharks yet as far as I know...

John Williams said that the shark had its own music and the rest of the music he wrote like a pirate movie

The second evening that they filmed Robert Shaws monologue when he absolutely nailed it must of been so amazing to watch and be part of. What a performance. In my opinion the three most perfectly cast actors for these roles ever. 👌 👏👏👏
