It seems like the recirculate feature hasn't worked forever but I suppose it could be because my late husband liked to tinker with this car and was always taking things apart. But now I feel like this is an easy check I can do without taking it to a shop. Thanks again!

Thank you so much for taking the time to show us how to fix this.  Your instructions were perfect, easy to follow.  The fix requires no tools, just unsnapping and snapping parts together.  I noticed after popping the recirculating controller back in, it still moves around when I move from outside to inside air, so now that it is back together, I am very gentle when I use the control so it won't pop out again. but if I forget and push too hard, I know the easy fix.  This was a big deal because it was stuck on recirc (inside air) and my windows would fog up during very cold temps unless I also ran the air, which impacted gas mileage too.  Thanks again!

TY... picked up an 08 and on the drive home I hit the dial and felt a pop... found your video and had it fixed in maybe 3 min or less... no more a/c mixing with the humid gulf coast air.

Thanks, you just taught me how to take off that frame , i was able to  fix my  temperature knob that was pushed in.. just followed ur steps, popped it right  back into the hole 😂

Glad to have found this video on how to get to those controls. My problem is the vent selector on the right will no longer turns. Feels like something is blocking its rotation.
