Goku as an opponent for Frieza makes me think of a certain quote, “Don't pick an argument with an idiot – you'll never win. They're a highly-experienced expert because they've been an idiot their entire life”.

Goku was the perfect foil to Frieza in Abridged. I can’t imagine anyone other than Goku who could get under Frieza’s skin like he did. All those menacing lines that would put fear or at least put down most people just bounced off of Goku who can’t even comprehend them. I believe Mark Twain said, “Never argue with an idiot.”

I've rewatched this show about 8 time now via myself and via reactions. I have NEVER seen the pizza in his eyes and nobody has pointed it out. That is awesome

Okay, it's time for The Muffin Button Theory, an explanation for why Goku could get that muffin that the creators liked so much they made them canon.

The crux of the matter is that Dr. Briefs used Goku's spacepod as a base for making his spaceship. He reverse engineered it and copied all the devices in even when he wasn't sure what they did because it makes sense not to fix what isnt broken.

And because that Saiyan pod was made to send conquerors out into space, the Freeza Force would naturally include a source of food for their soldiers to eat along the way. This turned out to be a button that produces some tasty and nutritious muffins.

And so, all Freeza ships have a Muffin Button by default and Dr.Briefs unknowingly put that into the ship Goku rode to Namek.

It also explains why Goku would think of it in the first place. It's an old memory of his.

that one commenter who said "all they did was redub the show" It must be lovely being that ignorant to the work that went into this

I hope Taka remembers to direct you to the ending of DBZA Dead Zone and the bonus scene of episode 30.

14:19 Weed is the only thing keeping us from Popo's wrath

You may NOW go back to the Death Zone Movie and watch the Special Ending.

The reason why Goku was so especially upset, is that originally you could only be revived once with the dragon balls. Krillin died once in Dragon Ball to a guy named Tambourine. So to Goku, this meant his best friend just perma-deathed. Eventually they changed it for multi-Rez but Goku was understandably upset.

Funny thing is, there actually USED to be a post credits scene, but it got copyright claimed and removed from the YouTube version (music from Star Wars Episode III)

10:03 you see, he wants to be vegeta, but he can't be vegeta, because Vegeta's vegeta.

A subtle reference for us rare few Dragon Ball viewers. In the show Tien brutally broke Yamcha's leg, and now he's given the same treatment to the other one 😂 Poor guy, just wasn't his day ... I mean it rarely is anyway, but still.

29:00 Alicia got the situation wrong there, the guy was angry that he got timed out for saying one of the lines in the episode. That might seem like he's in the right, but he actually said it before the line, spoiling it for anyone who read his message.

21:01 Lol, Dende got the W for teleporting everyone off Namek and had to say "Come at me bro!" at Frieza. 😂😂😂

Fun Fact: A joke they considered was having Goku bury Vegeta too deep and he died before coming back up.

MasakoX really killing it as Super Saiyan Goku. Especially that scream of rage! Damn.

13:40  Bro, Mr. Popo come on dude, I literally JUST finished my dab. Have you ever tried to cough and laugh at the same time? I think I'm dying.

Fun Little Fact: Porunga not being able to bring Goku back because Goku refused is ACTUALLY a thing. Even if someone wishes the Dragon to bring someone back, the person being brought back needs to basically consent to being brought back in order for the wish to work. So yea, the person being wished back can straight up tell the Dragon "No, I don't want to come back." and the Dragon has to abide by it.

12:36 fun fact that's the smoker sound effect from left 4 dead series

The "stop saying musk!" line aged very well when you consider a certain wealthy manchild who somehow got a position as a government employee (as a side note, we are living in simultaneously the funniest but also worst and most tragic possible timeline)
