I blew up the tendon in my bicep so my arms in a sling. I went to Sam's club to get some things this morning, at least six people asked if I needed help loading and unloading my grocery s, Not employees but other customers. That's why I love this country.

It's because America was first and foremost dedicated to God from the very first foot stepping onto Plymouth Rock. We are primarily a nation which initially followed Jesus.
Most have turned their backs on Jesus, but many godly habits are now so ingrained into our culture. Caring for others and taking an interest in their concerns and the happiness of their lives is a trait of Jesus.

In Mark 13: 30-3, he records these words of Jesus:
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these."

When you take an interest in others and actually spend time talking to them, you can find out what their needs are and how you can help them and brighten their day/lives.

he mentioned "even if you don't want to talk" and i know i have heard people in other countries say similar.. but if you don't want to talk generally people will realize that quickly and just say "well, have a good day" so, it's not like you get stuck in a conversation.

Many years ago, my son and his former wife were planning to move to Portugal. If he had, I would have hoped he'd experience people like both of you. ❤❤

From Texas with love. Nice is ingrained. Treat people the way you want to be treated. There are problems of course, but the reality is we truly care about those around us.

Also, when you live alone n maybe lonely, it can make your whole day. When you don't want to talk, most people can see that right away, n they won't bother you. ❤ 🇺🇲

Well, Sarah kept saying correct answers.

Even the depressed American will talk to you unless they are mute or deaf? Lol

@leonardpeters3266 11 hours ago

Of course you Love and Cherish your home country and Sarah does too. Just watching you two makes me want to go there and visit. It wouldn't hurt us Americans to get on over there and check it out. Maybe even be a bit quieter, no need to make everyone else uncomfortable with our loudness. I very much enjoy watching you two, what a great example, and wonderful representatives of Southern Europe you are.

Let Sarah speak about what she thinks Andre. It does not mean she right, it is simply what she feels. We can agree or disagree , this is how we learn about each other and new places . We grow from others ideas. If you never listen or hear oppositional thoughts or feelings then how do you learn ? It is important that each of us has a voice .

You are welcome to come to America from ANYWHERE in the world, as long as you do it legally and can appreciate our culture... 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲

That Aussie dude you've reacted to also covered this subject. ..

The longer the drive, the more worth it the trip is. Plus the longer distance allows you to experience different biomes, terrain, wildlife, etc. You could go from dense forests, to jagged mountains, to beautiful valleys, to completely flat plains. Not to even mention the massive variety of coastal cities.

I talk to people - I find them interesting and because we are such a diverse people here in the US it's often fascinating to talk to them. I took my car in for service and wound up having lunch with the service writer so I could learn more about Moldova where her family was from.

I’ve heard Portugal is different than the rest of Europe. They say it’s more friendly, it’s beautiful and the people are kinder. ❤️❤️❤️

I was in Dubai several years ago. In the hotel I was staying at, I got into the elevator and was a bit surprised that there were 3 women, I think 3 generations of a family, dressed in what we call the bee keeper outfits. They were clearly alarmed, & as I said, was taken back. I hit the stop button rather than the floor I wanted. I recognized my mistake right away & to sort of make light of it, said "crazy American can't work an elevator. They immediately relaxed, and all was good. This was when George Bush 2 was in office & there was real concern of American action in the region. The point here is that my action isn't about me, but how we as Americans try to interact and make strangers feel comfortable. It's who most of us are.
