I basically made a movie for y’all👀 Hoping you enjoy! Kick your feet up and relax🤍 What are your thoughts on Little Mix? Their longevity, the label issues, drama & their solo careers?

@hotdog2977 10 months ago

The vocals... THE VOCALS, THE HARMONIES.... NO ONE DOES IT LIKE THEY DID

@isamar3301 10 months ago

I remember how they discussed how music exec's kept wanting Perrie to go solo. She said she would never leave her girls 😊 i respect her for that because she stayed true to her word

@hotdog2977 10 months ago

Little Mix paved the way for so many girl groups these days. THEY ARE THE STANDARD

@pinkish410 10 months ago

Kelly Put little mix together and Nicole put 1 Direction together? Literally what would we do without women of color

@klickbate9352 10 months ago

Mind you Leigh Anne was heavily pregnant with twins while getting harassed by barbs and Jesy just sat there laughing and smiling 🤔

Sweet Melody is a better song than anything 5H released don’t even trip.
Also, Little Mix selling 75 million records worldwide WITHOUT breaking the American market is FAR more impressive than any other gg in history success.

Another fun fact and why it seems Jade and Leigh Anne have a better grasp at sound is because they actually helped write and produce more percentages of the albums than Perrie and Jesy.
Perrie is learning to be confident in songwriting but it’s newer to her.

I'm sorry, but in no way, shape or form was Fith Harmony better than Little Mix. What 5H had was good marketing & they were from the US. Little Mix had better vocals & harmonizing, better music sonically & quality-wise & they had great stage presence & choreography unlike 5H who was all over the place.

I've noticed the "superstar, main character, Beyonce" effect isn't as much of a thing in the UK like the US. People tried to pin those narratives onto Perrie back in the day, but even her solo career really isn't doing anything spectacular.

It makes sense when you think about it though. The biggest music act to ever come out of the US and America was Michael Jackson, a solo artist who came from a group, the biggest music act to ever come out of the UK and Europe was the Beatles, obviously a group.

So, of course Americans mostly just see groups as stepping stones for solo superstars to jump start their careers (Beyonce, Justin Timberlake) while Europeans see groups as actually viable success stories and turn THEM into collective superstar phenomena, (Spice Girls, One Direction) and when those groups disband none of the members' solo careers ever really surpass what their groups achieved, not even Harry Styles.

I totally get that Jesy felt misunderstood and that people didn’t seem to care when she opened up about her insecurities. But I also wonder — how many times did they try to help? How many times did they comfort her, say the right thing, or go out of their way to make her feel better, only for it to still not be enough? It’s hard to constantly reassure someone who keeps feeling the same way no matter what you do. At some point, people just run out of ways to help.

The truth is, healing has to come from within, not from how others treat you.

little mix are truly destiny’s children. the stage presence, production value, harmonies, choreo, chemistry… they have it all. AND a solid discography that has stood the test of time.

also, jade’s album is incredible. one of the best of the year.

@goshdarndenim 10 months ago (edited)

I only thought Jesy was overstaying her victim mentality when she kept comparing herself to her band mates and insinuating that she had it harder than the other girls. It got to a point where it seemed very selfish because the other girls had their own struggles with fame, weight, the way they looked, and more.

JUSTICE FOR WASABI 😂💚 well Jade is actually giving Wasabi it's damn justice by performing it again

@charlieedwards4331 10 months ago

Jesy Nelson’s Jingle Ball performance is probably the most unintentionally funny performances ever in pop history!

@isamar3301 10 months ago

They wanted to sound more grown up but their label wanted to keep them sounding young because of the younger fans

@hollywebb7511 10 months ago

Fifth harmony should be called no harmony. Literally little mix’s voices worked together, whereas Fifth harmony are always fighting to be the lead girl and don’t blend at all.

@laurenatamara 10 months ago

The way Jade’s new album has been on repeat!!! I love how the girls have been able to go off and do solo projects that speak to their sounds! It’s so cool to hear their different taste between her, Leigh-Ann and Perrie!

@ScarletRose-hl5nh 10 months ago

It's crazy because as a non American, they were so big, sometimes bigger than Fifth Harmony. Especially songs like Shout Out to My Ex and Black Magic (it was annoyingly big here 😂) but I think that point was made in the video already

I feel like Fifth Harmony was a flash in the pan in my childhood experience and they only seem bigger now because they get spoken about alot these days (I am not saying thats everyone's experience)
