What if the energy we waste could secure the money we save? Nell sits down with Simon Collins, co-founder of Stacked, CEO of Stackr and general partner at Horizon Power, for the first episode of The Key to Sovereignty.

Simon's road into Bitcoin began with mining on a borrowed university computer during his PhD and led to building a Bitcoin only exchange from Queenstown. He talks about why Stacked has never sold anything but Bitcoin, why a healthy community is the real return on investment and the idea behind his book in progress, Every Last Joule. The renewable energy the grid throws away each day could power a large share of the Bitcoin network, turning waste into value.

Then the conversation moves from the grid to the land. As co-chair of Eat New Zealand, Simon speaks about food sovereignty, the quiet pressure on the family farm and how a nation that grows so much still imports most of its flour.

Broken money shapes what we grow, what we build and what we value. Sound money offers another way.

Disclosure: Stacked is the Founding Partner of Sovereignty Summit 2027.
