Also, It helps me no end (always asking myself, what am I doing wrong????) to see that even accomplished dedicated fishermen can have a run of blanks! - It is plain to see though that you enjoy your fishing even when you don't catch. Shame about the Kingfisher, but still, a lovely experience for you to enjoy. :)

I'd probably class myself as an occasional pike angler, much more into carp! Having said this, I've got 30÷ years of experience in fishing the Great Ouse in this area, for pike! I only fish upstream  of a road bridge, casting anything from directly under the bridge to 20m  upstream of it! These areas are massively superior to fishing other areas imho! I only ever use smelt as a bait.

Great watch , l admire your perseverance , as you say put the hours in and never stop learning .. PS  after three months of trying to catch a river Loddon 20lb pike , last week I finally got one but only just by four ounces ! Great warts and all videos and I look forward to the next one .

I was out today in the rain on castle Semple loch Lochwinnoch and blanked was going after a pike I lost on fri 😂

I've had no joy on 10 mile bank for pike.  Going to try further out,  I've been in the margins

I feel your pain just had to days of the same kind of weather and blanked on both days on a river in Northern Ireland fish don't seem to be active
