Norfolk's iconic Middle level drain! Steeped in pike fishing history and capable of producing huge fish but can throw up plenty of blanks too.
Is this really the venue to tackle when you're on a run of 3 blanks on the trot.

It's been a baron period for most of us Mark , loving the videos tight lines for 25 !

Hi Mark. Many thanks for another video session. Always enjoy listening to your commentary and wealth of experience. Had a few blanks recently, but soldier on. Best wishes for 2025. Landing on the fish is taking some legwork. 🎣🐊

Happy new year to you mark!
Tough session, great video though, good luck for your next session, I have a feeling that you’ll get a mid twenty before the end of the season 💪
All the best, kind regards, Dave.

As a seasoned pike angler you know these droughts come and go... I've been in the same position, surrounded by other anglers catching and my Delks mute as a swan... it is what it is, Mark, you know the game !!.. 😂
Keep on keeping on, mate ...
Happy New Year!!

String of blanks here too, with a dose of flu to keep me away from the water. In the early autumn pike were nicking my fish left, right and centre. Now the same swims are dead as a dodo. It happens, best for '25.

Don’t get dispirited Mark had 3 nice low doubles on short river session this morning and lost 2 more 6 takes. This on the back of 2 blanks. Sure it will come good in 2025. 👍🎣

Happy new year to you too Mark. Piking has has been dour where I'm fishing, as well. Out on the bank for my last day out of the old year. There's a beast out there somewhere with your name on it! 😉

Merry Xmas Mark hope you and the family had a good one. Its been a weird baron period ( for a lot of us ), but here's hoping 2025 starts with some runs and the big girls! Tight Lines buddy HNY

It’s a tough game sometimes mate. In November I did 6 blanks in a row but was rewarded with a pb 22.2
That magic 30 could be your next bite. Happy new year.

It seems a similar story all over as far as piking is concerned mate. I'm on a run of 3 blanks too (3rd one today) and talking to others, most say they are struggling so you're not on your own.... happy New Year
