Glad this didn’t turn into a “oh no it’s all cannibalism” movie.

"Am I gonna dislike food after this?"
No, but you will really want a cheeseburger.

I love The Menu. My favorite part is when Margo looks back at the room, the cheating man's wife waves her on to go. She's the one who would of had the most "deserved" animosity towards Margo and with a little wave the wife almost like clears any guilt Margo may of had about the situation

I don’t know if you have seen it yet, but if you love Anya Taylor Joy you should DEFINITELY watch The Witch (2015) It was her debut performance and it is an incredible piece of horror (also being Eggers’ debut film)

Also - amazing reaction as always! 💕

I loved The Menu. It's fabulous. Loved the cast and the plot was twisted.

The wife was good enough to know that Margo needed to go asap, that it was a dangerous place to stay, but at the same time, was so broken on her mind that she thank Chef for burning her alive. Her mom instincts kicked in long enough to ensure her baby look alike would survive, but her own survival was not needed.

Fun fact, if you didn't know (tough to know because they obviously don't look alike), but Chef, Ralph Fiennes, plays Lord Voldemort in the Harry Potter series.
P.S. I think this movie is a masterpiece. So many motifs and metaphors about industry workers (of all sorts), modern food culture, socioeconomic dynamics, what it is to be an artist (and the sacrifices artists choose to make in order to master their craft, and what happens when they sell out), the concept of life and death, and the simple beauty of a Well Made Cheeseburger.... the last time he truly enjoyed cooking for people who truly loved his food. She played it perfectly, you can see Ralph Fiennes' subtle expressions of joy as he cooks his final meal. It was unplanned, but she truly did complete The Menu.

I have this movie saved in my watch list on HBO+ app. It's a really good film. Picture Chef Ramsey using "Hell's Kitchen" food menus as visual art.that leaves to death.....Even big names made an appearance such as Judith Light & John Leglazomo.
