I bought my F450 mainly for towing my fifth wheel RV. I will only drive an F450 for the rest of my traveling years. Nothing else compares!!!

I believe the F450 was de-rated by ford to stay in the same category as the F350. I always like to have more truck than I need.

I’m a GM guy, but wow, that was a impressive comparison of two beautiful trucks. Ford has got the rest of the truck manufacturers by the short hairs. Now, if we can just get them to all make RELIABLE ENGINES 🙄

Honestly, if I can justify buying a diesel for towing, then it’s not a stretch to justify a 450 over a 350.

Once you tight turn the F450, you won't want to drive your F350 anymore. It's a world of difference...

I just went through this dilemma about 4 months ago. I tow a 21k 5thw heel about once a month or so, the rest of the time its my daily driver. I chose the F350.

The rear axle on the f-450 is different than the f-350. Same Dana M300 housing but the f-450 has larger, 41 spine axles.

After switching to ford in 2024 i bought a f350 dually. Loved it and hated the colour. Traded it on a 2025 f350 which I loved but was always curious about the 450. Traded it in on a 2026 450 and i absolutely love the 450. Wish i bought it from the start. Can’t believe all the truck I had I never figured out the 450 was the truck of all trucks much sooner. Whenever I see guys in newer GM’s especially i think man that thing can’t turn out of its own way. If they only knew and weren’t so stubborn to try a different brand.

The F450 is a “derated” truck on paper for non commercial insurance. The commercial cab and chassis F450 is 16,000 lbs which explains the reason on paper it has a lower weight rating.
