I installed a LiquidSpring suspension on my 2022 Ford F-350 carrying a 10-foot Alaskan truck camper. The system costs nearly $20,000—and I decided to install it myself.
The goal was simple: improve the ride of the F-350 on rough roads, reduce the violent rocking of the camper, and make long-distance truck camping more comfortable. The installation turned out to be a much bigger project than I expected, including a few problems that definitely weren't in the plan.
In this video I go through the installation, the modifications I had to make, what the system actually cost, and most importantly, whether LiquidSpring was worth it.
After completing the installation, we put it to a pretty serious real-world test—a 7,400-mile trip to Alaska and back with the Alaskan camper. That gave me plenty of time on highways, rough pavement and dirt roads to find out whether spending this much money on a suspension actually made sense.
The short version: the difference in ride quality was dramatic. But for nearly $20,000, it should be.
Truck: 2022 Ford F-350 Super Duty 7.3L gas
Camper: 10-foot Alaskan Camper
Suspension: LiquidSpring
Installation: DIY
