To those wondering about the reference to Hinduism and its incorporation of Jesus, this claim is based on several contemporary movements in Hinduism, like the group assoicated with Sri Ramakrishna (d. 1886) who have indeed argued for Jesus as an Avatar.

As an atheist, I have to say this was refreshingly balanced, unbiased and well-sourced. I grow tired of videos, articles and books that mock believers with non-stop atheistic dogma, as much as I do those that present atheists as immoral elitists and tout Jesus's divinity as objective fact.

Tell me more about this “Jesus is a psychedelic mushroom” theory.

Coming from a Muslim background, I love how this channel comment section is gathering religious and non religious people to debate without any ounce of biggotry or harassment. It proves that most people who tears down another people beliefs are often the ignorant ones. Peace to everyone, whoever and wherever you are!
Thanks for the owner of the channel for his unbiased rigorously selected presentations!

I have no idea if he was the son of God or what God is, but the impact he had from a historical perspective especially from that time is mind blowing.

Both Jesus and Buddha, regardless if they actually existed or not, the message and philosophy that came through them is quite important imo

I took a history of Christianity class in college and the first day of class the professor goes "yeah so we don't actually have a lot of evidence that Jesus ever existed." My very Catholic friend was shocked to say the least.

It's crazy how Jesus looks different depending on what region of the world the story was told and handed down.

@tomhalla426 3 years ago

For an argument from absence, none of the critics of early Christianity made the argument that Jesus of Nazareth never existed. The flat statement that Christians were following a purely fictional character is apparently a much later claim, and not one made in antiquity.

As someone with a history degree, which included a course on comparative religion. I think the analysis here is spot on. Really smart and well reasoned
