The addition of the black really sets the whole thing. It's beautiful.

Your attention to detail is much appreciated!! And don't worry, you aren't talking too much. It's detailed information.

I knew this piece was not from the 1950s; it was too Victorian. I Google-Lens'd it: it's in the Chinese Chippendale style from the early 1900s. It originally had a mirror in
the top, rather than just a piece of glass. You did an incredible job restoring this incredible old piece!!

the hardware is BEAUTIFUL. Thank you for keeping it

Just imagine what the complete set must have looked like. A magnificent piece. The black inset was a good choice. Rose marble would have been pretty too.

I didn’t think the black top was going to work,  but wow it’s beautiful! Great job!  Very classy!

That black top was perfect. Great job sir. It was my first video, thanks to my wife for showing me your work. Looking forward to more

When you opened the drawer and I saw the makers mark, it took my breath away. My dad lived in Williamsport, PA and was a wood worker. He could have made this piece 🥹I miss him💔
I'm so glad you didn't paint the amazing piece that it is. I like the black piece but I think leather would have looked rich too. Thank you

The piece was gorgeous! You did it justice! The hardware are beautiful! The black wood on the top is really cool! I love the stain color and the combination you achieved with the natural color of the mahogany! The veneer on the front is EXQUISITE! STUNNING PIECE! Looking forward to the  tall boy restoration-transformation video. Thanks so much for sharing

Again, you succeeded in taking a piece of the past and making it modern. Thank you for reshaping a piece of history.

A marble piece for the top will enhance it and bring it up to date.

OMG.  Such  beautiful work.  Thank you for not painting that beauty.  You did a great job with the top center.

The sanding is NOT bothering me, it is part of the process! Your narration is great too!  I am a 72 year old retired RN! I love plenty of rationale for what you are doing. I take the “it’s the journey” stance when I make my quilts I make.  These things are our art. Really it is very relaxing. Nice music, not overpowering or “thump, thump, thump” music with overly repeated lyrics.  Thanks again, this piece turned out so beautiful. It is stunning. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

The hardware matchs the style of the piece perfectly

AMAZING, STUNNING. THE PIECE WOULD STAND ALONE AS AN OBJECT OF BEAUTY, WITHOUT THE ORNAMENTS ON TOP.

Thank god you didn't paint it I see so many of these shows, sand mahogany, oak or cherry dressers and cover it with paint. Breaks my heart. I used to restore old dressers, tables, chairs. And when they have intricate wood carvings I actually had to clean it q-tips, dental picks wood sticks with a covered top of fine steel wool.

The only suggestion is the top might have been covered with dark forest green or burgundy felt, covered with a thin piece of glass.

LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!

Rich, I can not believe how many new things I learn from you every single time I watch one of your videos!! You never cease to amaze!! Thank you sir!!!

Gorgeous. That black top? Sheer genius; it really made the piece.

That black on top really made it pop. Good job. Gorgeous

I like the idea of a marble insert.
