War doesn't decide who's right. It decides who's left.

Afghanistan is so good at war that Afghanistan can't beat Afghanistan

As a Vietnamese friend once told me " after WW2 you stopped fighting. We didn't."

It wasn't just Americans that died in Afghanistan, lots of Canadian and other NATO military countries.

Vietnam gets +7 in defensive rolls

Any video with Simon is an instant win. All these "AI" Text-to-Speech videos that are flooding YouTube makes me want to barf. I'm questioning why I continue to subscribe to YouTube. Simon's videos are YouTube's saving grace because they are real.

The Vietnamese call it the American War.

'Snow angels in the potatoes'.... holy hell I about choked laughing so hard...

I'm from Poltava and, in fact, the battlefield where Peter I defeated Charles XII in 1709 has been preserved into an open-space "museum" site that still features defensive "redoubt" fortifications on display

Guatemala..... It surprisingly has come out victorious in almost all their international conflicts.

AUSTRALIA. We seem to be good at winning other people's wars.

As a South African veteran SADF Sapper I must give a big vote to the South African Defence Force (SADF) prior to 1994. Despite arms embargoes we designed, made and tested some of the best running bush war military equipment ever, way ahead of anything comparable anywhere in the world.

There are no winners at wars and no one came back from wars fully alive

Love the videos. If you ever get the chance, a video of Canadian battles (especially WW1 and WW2 battles) would be awesome. Keep up the great work!

I'd still argue that for Austria, the language barrier isn't a meme. I'm a combat veteran. I could finish a drill knowing only 80 words. That would fall apart in seconds in combat, because combat doesn't follow anything you planned. We used to drive one commander nuts by using the word "flex", because it's not an official word on such a limited and formalized list.

"Slapping its taco down and then inviting them to behold its girth" xD

Another brilliant vid Simon!!!!!!!!!

37:48 the French Naval Victory at the Battle of the Capes, during the Yorktown siege, was critical. It cut Cornwallis off from resupply and evacuation. Had the French Caribbean fleet not done that, Washington and La Fayette would have continued to play wackamole with British forces.

Very well told.
Liked and shared.
Thank you.

6:40 I just want to clarify - Vietnam retaliated against Pol Pot. For parts of history the “Khmer Krom” were a large percent of the population of South Vietnam. For much of history, the very South of the Mekong Delta was part of the Khmer Empire. Pol Pot used this as pretext to try and take land from them. Specifically, Pol Pots decision to attack Phu Quoc (which for parts of history was controlled by Khmer) is cited by some as the reason for the downfall of the Khmer Rouge as the Vietnamese easily fought off the Cambodian attack, subsequently deciding to neutralize any future threats.
