This game is about exploration and discovery more than strictly following the main quest. Try to talk to all people you meet, pickup whatever you find and explore the whole map. 😉 The guardians can easily be defeated if you learn the perfect timing for the shield bash.

The plateau is the 'nursery', use it to learn as much as possible before entering the open world. Take your time & look in/under/on top of EVERYTHING.  ; )

There’s a Switch 2 upgrade for higher resolution and 60fps. It’s free if you have the online expansion pass.

Don't feel frustrated, we all stumbled at first... at least I did. Looking forward to sharing the experience all over again.

My favorite game of all time 😁

I'm not sure that the music ever completely disappears but it's often quiet and subtle. Sparse piano, for example; easily dominated by environmental sounds. Partly because they worked hard on the environmental sounds and that gives the mood of the game and partly to emphasize when there is stronger music (when you're under attack for example).

there are chests in each shrine that will have weapons & sometimes armor pieces. if you open the map & highlight a shrine with the cursor, there will be a small chest symbol by the name of the shrine. this means you have found all the chests in that shrine

Courtsetter playing BotW in 2026.  😊  Courtsetter stepping onto the great plateau all by herself,  the princess needs your help.

courtnemi - its a crime missing out on 40+ years of the Legend of Zelda.

If you don't think this game looks that good you might want to go back and look at the older games. This game looks amazing compared to everything before it, and the fact that you can see the mountains on the horizon, and explore them, was mind blowing when it came out in 2017. It was actually designed for the Wii U and was originally supposed to come out in 2015, a full decade before the Switch 2 launched. It got delayed enough that they also released it as a launch title for the Switch in 2017. It's almost 10 years old now.

This game will be 10 years in 2027

Just started replaying. I hope you enjoy it

This playthrough might just finish before 2030 👴

One recommendation, but it's probably too late. I like to go into the game settings and turn on the toggle for "Change jump button." Many Nintendo games have you jump with B, so it feels more natural. Then X is run and cancel action (like putting away the paraglider to drop).

This game came out in 2017 on the Nintendo wii U first. Then they put it on the Nintendo switch. And yes they have a updated version for this game on the switch 2

👍🏾

it hurts watching all the chests get ingored

Looks like you're playing the Switch 1 version that runs at 900p 30fps... The upgraded Switch 2 Edition looks absolutely stunning at 1440p 60fps.
