Good job on solving the shrines in this video!   Well done!

great thing about this game is that you can play at your own pace and explore the world and slowly figure out the mechanics as you go. I'm genuinely enjoying your fresh experience with Zelda! And slightly envious that you don't know the game and get to discover everything for the first time.

This isn't a spoiler... When you're on the horse, hold the ZR button and then use the left stick to make your horse go where it otherwise wouldn't.  It'll even go down steep hills!

You found Hestu, you solved shrines you are doing great.

I think the motion control works better if you attach the joy-cons to the holder, instead of using them separately.
In every shrine there is one or more chests. Some contain unique items like clothes, others will give you nice weapons or gemstones.
You must register your horse at a stable in order to keep it forever, and to call it by whistling.
Don’t forget to pickup the monster drops. You can sell everything, but keep the ancient materials.
Arrows can often be found in wooden boxes in monster camps. So always smash them open.

I'll restate the golden rule of Breath of the Wild: "If it works, it counts!" Whatever you do to accomplish your objective, so long as you reach your objective, is valid. Good job thinking about your runes! Good job looking around! You're doing great!

Good vibes! General tip: don't sprint away all your stamina. Stop right before it runs out so it recharges faster and link doesn't get stanky leg.

That was excellent watching you solve the puzzle.  I hope it helps your confidence to tackle this game.

It is good that you don’t want spoilers!

Artax is a nice name for a horse.

Video just started and I'm already traumatized again by this shrine. I'm getting STSD (Shrine-Traumatic Stress Disorder). Also, digging the piece of broccoli in the thumbnail! Another great vid, Courtsetter!

Love this series

It's good to see you get better at puzzles. Once you learn how to do Zelda puzzles it gets easier. Just donm it your way

Girl when you drop something, make sure it's the weakest object in the inventory. Check out the little numbers at the bottom. You dropped a shield that was 4 and left two shields that were 1 😢 I like your vids btw! It makes me wanna keep playing Tears of the Kingdom ❤

you're doing much better in this video.  here's a little tip for selling stuff and making money early on: if you don't know what to keep and what to sell (which is most of us when starting), the method I used it I kept 10 of everything at least until I knew what those items are.  So if you have 19 bokoblin horns and need money, I'd sell 9 of them, that way you make money but still have plenty of them in case you need them later.  Money is tight in the game early on, and you definitely want to buy the armors that you come across eventually.  so save up and get them piece by piece.  the standard hylian armor from kakariko is nice to have, and the stealth stuff for sure once you can afford it.  Even one piece of each set is good to have early on.

technicly zelda ocarina of time in the time line is verry far before breath of the wild and tears of the kingdom so you can play both wen he  came out

If you're having trouble controlling the horse in close environments, then get off the horse, walk to where you need to go. And then whistle and the horse will come to you. If you're close enough

Yes!!  You ARE smart!  Just tell yourself that instead of the other!  My son told me one time he was a "loser".  I got so mad and hurt that I told him to never ever call himself that because he is NOT a loser.  Then I cried for a long time.

A Tldr for: 7:20 If you don't mind. - I'll tell you from experience as a Zelda vet (no spoilers. I'm staving away from that)- ..that as you find more clarity with solving puzzles. The better you will get at Problem Solving irl. Not just with Zelda puzzles! I guarantee not ONE true Zelda vet hasn't experienced some form of: "oh hey, this might work!" irl. It's honestly refreshing and humbling. Especially if you don't let yourself get toxic after the fact -(that's right, you have a choice! Call yourself out on it! lol).

Small example: Experiencing Elden Ring gave me a craving for a bit more difficulty in other games. That game hardened my Personal Overall Resolve and as a Gamer. While Zelda Improved my overall response to Problem Solving before ever playing a Souls game.
