If you're ever looking for a new rabbit hole to jump into, Emmy Lou would not disappoint.

Emmylou Harris is also country royalty. One of the purist voices you will ever hear.

3 legends sitting right there together sounding like angels🔥🔥

Emmylou is also an icon. She is in the Hall of Fame for a reason. One of the great female voices in music history. Perfect harmony. Linda and Emmylou performed many times together and I discovered Emmylou through Gram Parsons. What a talent he was.

In 1975 in Los Angeles, Emmylou called Linda and told her that Dolly was coming over to her house,  Linda said she  made the 20 minute drive in 10 minutes.  They sang together in Emmylou's livingroom and immediately their chemistry was magical, they loved singing together. It took quite a while for them to make their schedules work to record together and then another 12 years to record Trio II.

3 legends. Not one trying to outshine or outdo the other, no over the top runs or thrown in notes. No competition. Just angelic voices harmonizing together. Beautiful

You finally discovered Trio. Three of the greatest voices in history.

I've actually recommended this to you when you were watching a Dolly Parton video. This supergroup is called Trio and Emmylou Harris is right up there with both of those other two artists. Dozens of top hits and Grammys.

Willie Nelson once said, "There are 2 types of men. Men who love Emmylou Harris and men who haven't met Emmylou Harris."

Emmy Lou Harris - "Boulder to Birmingham" her tribute to Gram Parsons

The trio actually put out a couple of albums.  Emmylou and Linda were and still are really close friends, and Emmylou and Dolly were friends.  Linda idolized Dolly so Emmylou setup the collab and they created a couple of the greatest country albums ever...I'm sure someone has already mentioned the albums.  But Trio was the collab name.

Emmylou has two children and Linda adopted 2 children in the 90s. Listen to Emmylou Harris, Alison Krauss, and Gillian Welch sing "Nobody but the baby"

They waited to record these songs until the three could perform together in person. This is a perfect example of their professionalism. Three beautiful singers combining their talent into a beautiful blend of voices.

Finally you are getting to The Trio. Been begging for this for a year. They put out two albums. They have some great songs. Emmylou is a legend in her own right. She has a ton of awards and hits

Emmylou is worth a deep  dive.

I'm hearing this for the first time today, the day after Dolly has passed, and I'm crying my eyes out.  RIP Dolly. 💔🎶🎼

Dolly has sung with her siblings since she was a child, she has always loved to sing in harmony with others.  This was from Dolly's 70's syndicated TV show and the three ladies realized their voices sounded great in harmony, and it took a lot of years fighting with their management to get the three of them together on two albums which won a lot of awards.  There is a great video of them together doing at least one song from one of their Trio albums on the David Letterman show.  All 3 legends in their own rights.  Emmylou has 13 Grammys, Dolly and Linda each have 11, but all three are hugely regarded and awarded solo artists, the Trio collaborations were because 3 legends wanted to work together and these three ladies remain friends and admirers of one another to this day.

Emmylou has a wonderful voice and a great solo career, She first came into the national spotlight for her work with Gram Parsons (The Byrds, The Flying Burrito Brothers) in a group called Fallen Angels. Gram died pretty young, and one of my favorites by Emmylou is a tribute to him titled Boulder to Birmingham.

They remain great friends with each other ❤️ Emmylou is amazing!

These 3 are magic. However, each one is pretty magical on their own too! Go familiarize yourself with Emmylou!
