American here: the main reason that our politics are so divisive is because politicians and political pundits make BIG money from sowing division.  The crazy your soundbites are, the more attention you get, which increases ratings and/or political contributions.  My opinion is that half the time, some of these people don't even believe what they're saying; they just make a living out of being outrageous.

But keep in mind this is a German thing, so unless the person using a blue heart is German it's totally fine to use that emoji
