I was 25-26 when this aired. We were all partying, happy, drinking having a great time watching the show, it was great. Then he began that initial moaning or whaling. The entire room shut up and focused directly to the TV, maybe 20-25 people. Even though it was basic TV speaker sound we all stood there slack jawed for the next 4 minutes or so. I'll never ever forget it!!! I would be shocked if anyone wasn't moved by that performance! We talked about it the rest of the night. Have never heard anything like it before or since. Happy someone your age group has taken interest and is noticing how special these times and sounds were. Much love.
well, i used to like drinking coffee and having a smoke while listening to pearl jam back then.. and now i like to drink coffee and have a smoke while watching reactors i like listen to music and watch stuff i like, so.. were all good
Every band u listen to, you’ll be saying these are my favourite.. in those days they were all unique and dripping with talent, what a golden age we had
Chris Cornell acoustic version of “Nothing Compares to You” , one of the best vocalist in all of rock history. He fronted the band Soundgarden who were also a huge grunge band along with Pearl Jam and Nirvana. Guaranteed to blow you away with his version of the song which was written by Prince, made a hit by Sinead O’Conner…….but owned by Chris Cornell…..if you like acoustic stuff you will not be disappointed!!!!!
My wife died in 2001. She was 28 and, I was 32. My daughters were 8 and 6 when I had to tell them. Sometimes, tattoos are permanent. Sometimes, they are eternal.
Pearl Jam hit the scene when Nirvana started. Same era and still together. Try "Daughter" for songs like this or "Even Flow" and "Go" for fast bangers. ❤❤❤
Didn't hear Black until I was 24. By chance, I just happened to overhear my cousin playing this on his CD player. I stopped mid-conversation and said "What's this? What band is that?!". And as I listened, it just got better and better. I was absolutely startled. Utterly, utterly beautiful song.
Hello.
The lyrics tell of an experience Eddie Vedder had.
Around the age of 17, he was experiencing problems at home with his parents' fights and separation.
He started dating a girl from high school, and they were very much in love and always together.
One summer, she went on a trip, and when she returned, she had ended her relaxation.
He was devastated and wrote a song.
