travelled to the most remote place i have ever been and stsyed
this is again with a small school camera.. i didnt realize then what i do now but it still gives a feel for where i was with Tony..fly to chongqing 4 hours by car stay over night....switch car to jeep cherokee then 8 hours...8 hours over roads that can never be described but in an epic poem. the last 3 miles that cherokee turned into a mountain goat on the most tenuous ribbon of a cliffside road .. like a mountain goat.. droped off 3 mile hike down to the farmhouse...here we are walking from that farmhouse to a place called song yun cun ...good luck trying to find it....to sell the ducks and buy some stuff..i could not record the first part of this because it was too intense to even think of taking the camera out..and im no wall flower...unreal hot...a steam bath.. and then we had to walk back....thanks to tonys mom for arranging the whole experience..tony hu was amazing on this trip.. he handled the physicality of it effortlessly. i was beaten up by the experience even as i loved it.. tony however was not the best translator but thats a function of 9th grade more than anything
