Right from the beginning, I thought that G. Wallace a NO RESPECT, INSULTING MAN.

The very last line of Wallace's statement, that the BBC cares more about its legacy than protecting people, shows how unrepentant he is. He sees himself as the victim, claiming he is the casualty. If Banijay, the production company, cared about protecting people, it would have dealt more severely with Wallace at the time.

I'm not altogether surprised that we are where we are with Greg Wallace. As someone who once had a job which involved mediating between disabled employees and their employers, I would invariably find that the last person to be informed of bad performance was the individual at the centre.
Why didn't people tell him he was being inappropriate at the time? If he'd told me the things you broadcast, he would certainly have heard my opinion, whether then and there (if practicable) or in a private conversation. I certainly would not have just run and complained without first having a conversation with him.
Secondly, and perhaps more disturbingly, I see someone who seems to genuinely not understand why his remarks are inappropriate. Certainly, such remarks would make me uncomfortable. On the other hand, anyone who knows me will tel you that I need chapter and verse as context before I accept anything. If I don't understand it, it generally doesn't happen. Someone needed to have sat down with him as soon after the occurrences as possible and talked with him about how not to be. Why did this apparently not happen until 2018? as it seems to be the way things are generally done everywhere, I don't think his stardom had anything to do with it.
oh, and comparing him with Savile and Huw Edwards is outrageous. Both of those were predators. I don't see any malice here; I just see someone who is out of step and struggling to understand why. Every autist I know feels this way in some form or other (though admittedly, most of them don't feel the need to make constant sexual jokes).
The sad thing about all this is that it could have been avoided if people had been more willing to be direct adn courageous.

Just an uppity rude and arrogant individual tbh,but media depend on characters that stand out but they need to call out bad behavior by the choices they made when they make them, out make those that don't behave to the standard expected should be called out or its just another jimmy jimmy savile episode heading their way.

No mention of his co-host also gone for language unbefitting then.

why am I not surprised this happened at the BBC. I am Just happy not to watch or pay a license any more

1970s banter has been out of date and unacceptable for decades. Anyone saying we are looking at things through different eyes is really not getting it

Mr.wallace has used excuses to attempt to avoid responsibility and as a life long autistic myself I can confirm that autumn isn't tourettes so I find no influence in the slightest on my personal and sexual expression. Mr.wallace has a very long history of inappropriate expression mainly towards women, this for me is due to his own morality and inappropriateness especially in regards to sexual boundaries.
John Torrode, apart from one single comment is,too my knowledge,a very caring, nice and decent person.

And when is the story of the child slaughtering in Gaza going to emerge on the BBC.

BOYCOTT PAYING TV LICENSES!

How was he allowed to keep it up that long?

I fear this TV broadcaster has been asleep.
V.

This guy using autism as an excuse for behaving like a creep is both deeply offensive and absolutely ridiculous at the same time.

Greg overcooked his own importance, got burnt and chucked in the bin.The BBC is incompetent at the highest level! Tim Davey should resign. We're all tired of excuses and highly paid so called celebrities and directors who deny responsibility for any failings. It's TAX payers money!Greg Wallace should go back to his market stall.

Wallace is a bald, loudmouthed bore. Always has been. Glad he has been sacked at long last.

That’s what you get when you put zeros on TV.

there doesn't seem to be any consistency with where or how soon they "draw a line"

Whatever happened to having enough decency to remove one's self from the public eye after such disgraceful conduct? I suppose that after Trump, such things aren't even embarrassing.

Bye bye Farty Breath Wallace, you always knew you were totally winging it anyway!

Go whatever way you want Wallace!
JUST GO‼️
