35:10 when they begin to discuss Linehan.

So many “friends” abandoned Graham when he decided to stand up for women and children.
We need men like Graham who stand up for the most vulnerable.

I’ve read all of Jon Ronson’s books, but how he treated Graham is reprehensible. Graham is a very brave (and talented) man who sacrificed himself and his personal life for what he believes in. Jon is a coward. History will judge them accordingly.

40:28 Graham Linehan didn't lose himself; he fought a just cause and won, without any help from the spineless Ronsons of the world

Pearl clutching tyrants will be defeated.

Hey, great discovery 90s nostalgia fans. Close your eyes and Jon's being interviewed by Terry Christian! 🎉

It's interesting how he starts off talking about how he didn't want one person to be able to cancel him. Later on he alludes to audience capture when he talks about TikTok investigators. He also mentions people not being able to fit in the modern world. Reading between the lines he knows he has to accept things like 'transwomen are women', or at least not publicly disagree with them, or he won't be able to continue getting his books published or some on Times Radio. It's odd how he describes Linehan's activism as 'unravelling' whereas his carefully curated Instagram wall of cute jumping spiders obscuring the problems of the world is presented as sanity.

In the same breath as decrying the toxicity of online discourse, Ronson goes for the low blow by mentioning Linehan’s estrangement from his family. Like many people on the nominal Left he displays an inexcusable hypocrisy.

People wave in Cardiff!

Lineham isn't mentioned until 35 mins in. You're welcome.

presume Times have got Jon on for the engagement, given they editorially agree with Graham

"The thing that he's consumed by..." - you can't even put Linehan's life in context by naming trans-ideology. From the outset you dismiss him by implying he is irrationally obsessed by something that cannot be named. This is just vague wishy-washy nonsense.

Down with this sort of thing!

(careful now...)

Jon Ronson is such an essential voice for our turbulent times. The proponents of AI are aiming to enable the worst leap in technology in centuries.

Making money is fine, but I've no time for grifters

Really should read some of his books.

"A videographer appears and filming began". I suspect filming started in the room where the women were changing.

Ronson, as a good investigative reporter, will know that the origins of modern trans comes from the tragic story of David Reimer and psychologist Dr. John Money. It is not built on truth or empirical evidence. It is built from made up and exaggerated ideas that have been monetized and weaponized by groups that want to sell operations, drugs or their ideology of gender to gain power and more money. He has become a proponent of these lies while Linehan has fought against them. It really is black and white.

Why didn't you ask if he thought linehan was wrong and where he was wrong?

Ronson is a coward

I really recommend the audio book.  The chapter on armie hammer is odd but funn
