SUBSCRIBE one funny thing about this video is that it was originally going to be a collab with @drmodgta also usually with these videos, i go on the gta forums but unfortunately it seems like all posts on that site from 2002-2004 got wiped. this is most definitely going to be the last community reaction until gta 6 which ill probably do in 2034 or something.
i remember that 1 week delay felt like so long when i was a kid. also crazy SA only had 1 trailer and the reveal was just 5 months before launch. its so weird seeing internet comments from over 20 years ago that sound like they could have been written today. i know that wasn't that long ago in the grand scheme, it just feels like so much has changed since then.
Man the hype was monumental for this game in 2004, I read every PlayStation magazine with an article about it and talk about all these new features and how it was going to be an entire state just seemed insane. You absolutely had to pre-order the game too to actually guarantee a copy, I remember they increased the price from 39 to 49 euro cos Rockstar new it was going to sell gang busters but also the first time to see price hikes for really popular games.
We need a GTA6 train mission with the failure cutscene that is basically the same as big smole saying "All we had to do was follow the damn train [the male main character]"
4:00 is a reference to a real life event called "the san andres quake" where a rift opened from san francisco to california, bringing a ton of earthquakes that even got to México
So, fun fact: Ryders model is not definitely inspired by Eazy-E. While they obviously look very similar, his voice actor MC Eiht also rocked that same look in the 90s.
