George Carlin was the closest thing to a modern-day prophet we’re ever going to see in our lifetimes

It's been almost 25 years since he said this. Not only is it still true it's now even worse.

Wish he was still here... we need him!

"Slow death of Fast Food" Pure Genius.

When you're actually more enlightened, we tend to have a darker shade of humor. Which is why the objective truth of how the blind the public is about the infrastructure they live in everyday is ironic. There's an amusement to the viewer that actually understands, which is why George is the GOAT.

George reinvented himself at least 4 times in his career from stand up jokes to acting roles to long hair college campus comedy in the seventies with several platinum albums (comedy) and then to his curmudgeon days where he spoke truth for 2 hours.  Such a genius.

Eternal words of truth, they never get old, they never do not describe the current situation :(

This man has the fastest wit that I have ever witnessed! (and great sense and wisdom!)  I wish there were more Americans were more like him!

Dont stop. Dont ever stop listening. Especially to people like George Carlin.

I love both of your faces when George finally got to talking facts about our country. Thank you for the video George Carlin is an icon. Only comedian to open a set on abortion, a full ten minutes I believe. He wanted to open people’s eyes. He was so discussed in society.

He was a philosopher!! And, the people clap because they agree with him.

he was always more of a shock comedian when he was younger, his favorite gig was 7 words you can't say on TV

Much love and respect he only told it the way it was he never gave you any bs that was what I loved about George could you only imagine if he was alive today and was able to look at the way things are now, he would be hitting everything.

George Carlin passed away not long after this and his other HBO specials.  I guess that at that point he had enough star power to be able to use the stage for his own personal ranting.  The thing is he wasn't just ranting, he was spitting facts as he saw them, while also incorporating some humor to keep it interesting but I think at that point he knew he didn't have long to live so what the hell, might as well give us the truth, which is what it was back then but the problem is, it's still that way and in many ways even worse.  George was a philosophical commentator on life and in many ways a modern day prophet.

George Carlin is my spirit animal.

I'm looking forward to Lulu seeing GC's other bits from the 90s when it was still lots of facts but the humor was still there :
- The Planet Is Fine
- Euphemisms (Soft Language)
- Germs
- Religion Is Bull$hi†
That's just for starters.

His knowledge of English combined with his memory and delivery will never be matched!

Still all true 🙄

Many stil denying rgw sad truth . But George Carlin is a 100% right.
