Kobe can be your favorite and he is a legend. But there never was or is anyone like Mike.

I love watching the youngins get converted to the greatness that was and is Michael Jordan. I feel privileged to have gotten to see Jordan in real time. Thank you, Michael.

Jordan helped make the game popular enough that they could start earning millions a year.

Kobe is the Prince of NBA Basketball. MJ REMAINS THE KING.

The day he came back after retiring in 93 was the most excited I have ever been for anything ever in my life. I was a straight Jordan and Bulls addict.  He took a bit to get his feel back. Was bouncing shots off the front of the rim. Lot and was a bit slower, but it didn’t take too long before he was better than I had ever seen him. You had to be there to see it.  Nobody… NOBODY in the league could come close to stopping him. Yeah, players had good nights against him and some players were better than others guarding him, but when he had to turn it up, it was written in stone. He was taking you out.

I'm from Detroit. The Pistons used to beat em up, and he still had a career average of like 37 pts per game against them. I know it's hard for young fans to believe, but for me back then it almost didn't seem real what he was doing. I actually hated him. Once the Bulls ascended to the throne, I just learned to appreciate what I was watching. Dude was like a fu$%king alien. I teach Middle School kids and I see first hand how soon we forget as generations age and move on. You young folks on here will one day have to describe how good LeBron and Kobe were....and you'll find resistance. I can say that I was glad to have seen MJ with my on eyes.

He won every Finals series in 6 games or less. Was 9 time Defensive FIRST team (1988–1993, 1996–1998). And was 10 time scoring champ (1987–1993, 1996–1998). Had he not retired the first time there is a good argument the Bulls would have won another two in a row, but also an argument he would have gotten the Scoring titles and more defensive first teams. Michael took no prisoners, he killed his enemies on the battlefield. I haven't seen anyone since His Airness to have the kind of complete package that Jordan had.

I'm from Washington State, and I must have watched 98% of these games on T.V.. This was not hype, this wasn't a fad or a phase, not a following nor a cult. This was people around the nation looking at their t.v. sets wondering "how is this possible?" Aside from the shoes, jerseys, cologne and commercials, this was a true testament of raw talent. This is why, when somebody is labeled "the next Jordan", King James, Kobe, Carmelo, I don't see it. I saw Jordan fly, I haven't seen that since.

Jordan CAME IN a SUPERSTAR & unstoppable…..it just took the team to catch up. He’s the BEST to ever bounce a ball.

Growing up a Lakers Fan since the late 70 ‘s as a kid  . Michael Jordan by far is the Greatest player ever !!!  Love Magic , Kobe . . Watching Jordan actually playing   during his career  was surreal . Younger generation that only see highlights have. No idea  how Great Jordan was . Hands down the GOAT  !!

You know what the craziest part about it? That when you watch these highlights, they don’t do him justice. MJ needs to be watched from beginning of the game to the end, to realize how dominant he was. Didn’t matter the score, you always knew he’d win.

Jordan is and ALWAYS will be the Greatest basketball player EVER! Hail MJ! We will never see anything like this again.

Something just hit me that I have not strung together until now. Not only did I grow up watching Jordan play, but also the Seattle supersonics, Kemp, Payton, etc, and as a native of Washington State watched the sonics heavily ( although the bulls were my favorite team, the sonics were my second).....but little did I know I would end up providing healthcare to a hall of fame coach, who was the assistant head coach the only year the sonics won the nba championship, and not only that, but that that very human being would die in my arms. Literally. I could write a book. But I haven't. I KNOW what I'm talking about. Les Habegger. Look him up. Hall of Fame in many places, books written about him, was part of the sonics NBA championship, 3 championships in Europe, Indiana, etc, dude was a legend. Passed away in Spokane, Wa. In my arms. We spoke the last words to each other before he took his last breath. Crazy to think how I grew up watching the sonics. And years and years later that never left me.

Something I heard someone mention that I never considered is the energy MJ brought to the team, and the arena. He said later with an extraordinary level of passion. It’s crazy!!!!

JORDAN IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE THE GREATEST

I miss Kobe. He was great but even he would admit that he doesn’t hold a candle to MJ.

It’s that first team defense that should make the question of who’s the greatest ever simple . Jordan 🐐

Michael Jordan 🐐

He made the number 23 the most famous number ever. He took over that number -23 will forever be lined up with MJ and greatness.

Watching Jordan, even after this many years of him not playing (and maybe because of that), gets me emotional. It's very rare that we ever see a human being as amazing at what they do as he was.
