Atleast this Young Buck is doing the homework ... Now you see why us old farts laugh at this new age soft ass cupcake NBA... I feel sorry for the younger generation to never see real Basketball ...MJ aka Mr G.O.A.T didnt settle for the quick 3 he took the ball to the hole and dunked on the entire team ..
Jordan is the only player I've ever seen that had no weakness. He avg 5 assists and 6 rebounds for his career. That's incredible for a shooting guard. And on a season by season, especially the first half of his career. Those numbers were crazy. One year he avg 8 rebounds and 8 assists. While putting up over 30ppg. He also avg 3.2 steals and 1.6 blocks in a season before. Insane!
Young man , this was MJ on the regular … he was a COMPLETE player . There was nothing this man couldn’t do !!! I’m a die hard Knick fan and watched this man torch us on the regular ! Besides everything he did on the offensive side of the ball , his defense was stellar!!! Look at his moves in the early 90s! Dude was ahead of his time . PS , it was said he ran a 4.3 in the 40 yard dash …
You are a LeBron fan and that is great. I was a Shawn Kemp fan when he was with Seattle but I always knew MJ was special, the best player anybody had seen. I watched and enjoyed all MJ's games, even when Chicago beat Seattle. I knew I was watching history in the making with MJ.
Fun Fact: after the Bulls lost their first 3 games of the 90-91 season, Michael Jordan would never lose 3 consecutive games again for the remainder of his career in Chicago. That's a streak of over 600 games, regular and postseason, without a 3-game losing streak.
The scary thing about Jordan is his game became unpredictable. He didn't just have a bunch of programmed moves - a lot of what he did came almost from instinct.
Most amazing thing about Jordan- In any game he ever played, you could just watch for 2 minutes, and realize he was THAT dude, and he could be 0 for 4 from the floor in those 2 minutes. His presence was as special as he could play.
Watching most of those games live, it was such a joy watching those games. He was special, his play was intoxicating, you realized you were seeing greatness. When he retired in 93, it was a sad sad day for a lot of people
MJ has the athleticism, artistry, creativity, suave, and leadership rolled into one. He has the ability to score at will. He just go straight no matter how many people guarding him. So fearless . The trademark of a G.O.A.T.
First of all, i am from germany, so i could never watch the bulls play live at the court. But me and my brother stayed up at night to watch the bulls play on tv. I still watch some NBA games so i think i can compare back in the days to now. Its worth watching interviews of Michael himself and interviews of other players talking about Michael. It says it all if other players where that terrified of him not to piss him of to make sure he doesnt go nuclear. His games were always good, he went on the floor to give the fans the best possible experience every game. Didnt matter if he was hurt or anything. He went on the floor and the fans knew there is a party coming. Another good video of him is his Hall of Fame speech. What really makes him special was his mindset, determination and competitive nature. You could see that in every game and in the way he evolved from the beginning of his career to the end of his career. He came into the NBA as ok shooter midrange shooter, good defender but first of all finisher at the rim. His drive to the rim made him realize he needed to work on his body because he got beat up really good and he wasnt build right for that kind of punishment. So he trained and changed that. Some people said his midrange shooting wasnt good enough so he worked on that. Everytime he got challenged in a way he changed his gameplay, trained to get better and better. He always evolved, made sure to prove anybody wrong. You never knew from season to season what he added to his gameplay. He could read the games on court and act on that. He was the kind of guy that won games on his own if he got the feeling his team isnt up for a win. It was always a pleasure watch him play, see him getting better and better. Its a fact that Michael Jordan made the NBA world famous. Kobe had the same mindset like Michael. I will never ever say LeBron isnt a great player but compared to Michael its just another level. Some guys called him black jesus or god, think of that. If an enemy player has that kind of power over you to admit or call him stuff like that. Michael was the player you could put anywhere on court and he would be a massive problem for the opposit team. His influence on the NBA was huge. Thinking of him playing in the NBA now would be insane. Way less physical so he would have so much more space to play his game. In the NBA now i like watching Steph Curry, seeing him evolve is huge fun. His ability to shoot from anywhere he wants is mindblowing, his handles are getting better and better. The big downside to Steph is his defense i think. I dont hate on any body playing in the NBA, but Michael is and always will be a special player
Growing up in Chicago in the 90s, I had the fortune of seeing Jordan play live in person three times, along with watching nearly every game of the rest of his career live on local tv. He genuinely had no hole in his game. Top scorer, top defender, incredible handles, fantastic passer (on the few occasions when he bothered to give the ball to anyone else) and a refuse to lose mentality. He was revered and feared by the entire league. Nobody has come close to that since, which really sucks because, man, it was a sight to see. He was the biggest celebrity on the planet. It was truly unreal.
