One thing to note is if Viktor FC 1+2 goes into his perfumer stance, he can cancel it into crouch and full crouch, he can also do UB+2 which can also go into Perfumer pressure
For those looking for help in the victor matchup: not mentioned in this video is the standard IAI stance counterplay. When he goes in at +4 or +5(wr2, wr1+2, iai d2), all of his options besides 1 and power crush lose to jabs so g clef him to force him to use those options. Good victors will check u with iai 1 and its different extensions. When you have forced him to use iai 1 u can always step it left and launch him even at plus 5. The powercrush is also very punishable at -14 i believe. This may sound nice for u but trust me the mindgame is highly in victors favor in a real game due to the mentap stack and iai 1 string cancels
I want to add some very niche knowledge that I discovered being that Iai 4 on block actually has some counterplay to being launched if he doesn't go for the high. It technically is launch punishable but immediately after recovery the player can press u which is his tp out of stance for a decent amount of iframes. This will prevent punishes from i13 upwards. It caps out somewhere after i15 at least so he can still be launched afterwards, but there is timing to it meaning that you can't instantly go for a punish above i12.
CORRECTION: I had to make sure but the iframes are actually false. He just tps from far enough away that you need a long range punish which usually isn't an i15 launcher. Still niche but knowledge is knowledge.
Saying IAI D2 does "a ton of chip damage" is just straight up a lie. It does 5 chip out of heat and 10 in heat, and is mostly only used next to the wall. When moves like Parricide fist exist the way they are. Im sorry MainMan I respect you a lot but exaggeration is something I really dislike when it comes to discussing the balance of the game especially with the large reach that you have. I mean no harm by this I quite respect you.
They really ruined a lot of characters in S2 and Victor is no exception. I really liked him S1 (and i still do) but he turned into a Rushdown Stance-slop character for no reason and completely relinquished his long-range control archetype.
There was no reason for FC1+2 to go into Perfumer. Only really talented peopls like Farzeen could manually squeeze in a Perfumer into Crouch into FC1+2 loops to throw the opponent off. Perfumer being a punch-parry now makes this easy-mode loop even worse. There was no reason to give him WR1+2 to mix up the opponent next to the already oppressive WR2. He didn't need that new move in IAI that is just crazy in all regards. There was no reason for f1+2 to be plus on block now instead of -9 to give up his turn on a wrong read.
Not like he is the only one suffering this design hotch-potch and i don't think he is as strong as people make it seem to be, but they really changed his design for the worse and i'm just disheartened as someone who got sold a different idea before S2 ruined him entirely.
