Honestly, the way this sounded was more emotional to me than my own national anthem.....Crazy.

Me and Amber are making a Q&A soon. Please ask us some questions 😊

When the World Trade Center towers in NY were attacked, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II had the Cold Stream Guards play the Star Spangled Banner for the American tourists stranded in your country for the 1st time in history. That was so moving for us all! May she rest in peace 🙏

When I was in bootcamp our drill instructor told us that when you see the flag moving on a flag pole that its not being moved by the wind - its being moved by the last breath of every American whos ever died defending it.

This is why we don't let the flag touch the ground.

Now you know why it is such an insult to throw the flag on the ground and stomp on it, or burn it.

As an American that flag holds dear to me. Since I come from a military family. My father and uncles fought during Vietnam war.

Francis Scott Key was the one who penned, what became, our National Anthem. To let the flag touch the ground, or fall, was a sign of surrender or weakness, and a disgrace to our country. You may have heard some say that we do NOT let the flag touch the ground. That is all true! It is a disgrace to those who fought to keep us free, a disgrace to the flag that represents us, and is a warning to all who try to take it down. If you ever saw a person, usually a non-American, burn or drag the flag, I can assure you that, as a 20 yr disabled veteran of the U.S. Air Force, it will not be taken lightly or forgotten. Getting punched in the face for disgracing our flag is both common, and could happen to anyone.

As a child we pledged our allegiance to the flag in our classrooms every morning. On Friday mornings all the classes would gather on the lawn around the school flagpole and as the flag was raised all the classes would sing our National Anthem "The Star Spangled Banner".

11:08 That's why the flag NEVER touches the ground and never dips at the Olympics. It is out of respect for the patriots who made sure our flag was still flying

This is why we say that the flag doesn't wave by wind but by the last breaths of the Americans who gave their lives for our freedom. 🇺🇲🎉❤️

Now you know why I and so many Americans cry during the National Anthem.

There's been a member of my family in the military starting in 1914 and ending in 2023, it's our way of saying thank you for letting us come to America.
