What happens when the contract ends… and the next club doesn’t come?

Jonny Williams has played 400 career games, featured at a Euros semi-final and a World Cup. Will Keane has played across the Championship and League One after coming through at Manchester United. Jamal Blackman has spent years in the professional game as a goalkeeper.  And right now, all three are without a club.

We joined them at the PFA’s pre-season camp to talk honestly about life as a free agent – waiting for calls, being overlooked for younger players, training without a contract and dealing with the uncertainty of what comes next.

Three experienced pros, three very different situations, and a side of professional football fans rarely get to see.
