Why is it the Man City fans everyone feels sorry for? What about the fans of all the clubs who have missed out on celebrating glory because of cheating? Opportunities and moments they’ll never get back. City fans got those moments of joy whilst everyone else missed out.

I looked it up and Everton were given a 10 point deduction immediately following the guilty finding; then it was appealed and the new appeal panel reduced the original sanction to 6 points. There was a second charge that came up, which they were found guilty of and an additional 2 points was given (so an 8 point deduction for 2 charges). But my point is that Everton were sanctioned BEFORE they appealed, not after the appeal concluded.

114 charges = 114 points - split over 2 seasons. 70 points this year (relegation), 44 points next year (confirms no promotion). 5 year transfer ban. and a fine which is shared amongst all the other teams.

I'd seen a suggestion they should strip the owners of their 'fit and proper' status and force to sell in the way Abramovic was. Sounds fair to me

Any financial charge has to come directly from the club, not their owners.

Their crimes were over a nine year period. The punishment should reflect the same time period. Relegation to the National League and a promotion ban for five years.

Five year transfer ban - no incomings, just free transfers subject to league approval.

A 80 point deduction

A £500 pound fine which would go to teams who were effected by relegation or European competition

Every title stripped- in the record books it would read “no champion awarded”

They have to be expulsion from the football league. Here's how, they docked 100 points, then the Football league can refuse to accept them back in.

A decade of cheating should equal a decade of deductions.

10 seasons with a 30 point deduction. Doesn't relegate them but all their players will want to leave and they will only be able to attract the type of player that they would have if they didn’t cheat in the first place

A similar thing to City’s situation happened in Rugby Union a few years ago. Saracens breached the salary cap by starting businesses and property portfolio’s for the players so they can earn beyond the salary cap. They were deducted around 30 points that increased to 72 when it looked like they might survive. They were eventually relegated, kept a few players. Loaned some out and lost a load of sponsorships but quickly got back to a similar position.

What about a 342 point deduction (3 points per offense), but it carries over year after year until they’ve won enough points to get out of the hole. It would take them 4 years to get net positive. That means they’d get relegated this year, relegated from the Championship, and relegated to league 2.

Biggest issue is the second there is an opposition player within 15ft of them the England players lost all ability to take possession and be effective with it.. they are either cowards who just fold or are lacking all ability to control a football and pass forward to a team mate.
The Premier league has been fantastic to watch over the last 20 odd years but the money it generates for clubs has filled them with foreign talent and hide the flaws in the English players. The second they’re all together without that foreign influence they’re completely lost.

Hi guys. The issue with the A licence in the UK, unless you want to try to make it as a professional coach, a dad picking up the mantle to coach his son’s grassroots club isn’t going to pay the money to do it and get better. Finding the time to prioritise both the financial and time to do it isn’t always a thing. There’s not a fund to escape that paywall.
