It is my humble opinion that Freddie Mercury was, and still is, the greatest front man in rock and roll history. They could be playing outside in the middle of the day with no stage lights, and he would still put on one of the most amazing shows ever.

When the time came to record this song, Freddie was litterally dying from AIDS. Brian was very concerned about his health, and told that to him. Freddie took a shot of vodka and said "Let's fucking do it darling". And he totally nailed it in one take. Legend.

Yes, I remember later on that when this album was released, there was a race to get it finished before Freddie passed away. "The Show Must Go On" was not just a song about sadness of the limitations of life, but about will and determination to fight to the end. The show went on and it still does today. It is Freddie's legacy.

The song was written by Brian May. It expresses his feelings regarding carrying on, knowing his friend is dying and all the emotions that come with that. However, having Freddie actually singing the lyrics makes it all the more poignant. One of my favorite Queen songs for that reason.

Don't feel bad I'm 64 years old and was lucky enough to see them live twice. This song, and "Who Wants to Live Forever" makes me tear up every time I hear them. Please react to "Save Me" from Rocks Montreal 1981.

One big and truly masterpiece in music world over the years by this day. 32 years without legendary Freddie is the most tragic loss , that you can feel with your heartbroken heart , he will remembered as one of the biggest music entertainer of all time , all the dance moves , all the controlling of the massive crowds in UK , Europe and around United States , wonderful lyrics , all the the energy in recording studio and on the stage made him so special and this song are showing all his legacy with Queen , may his musical soul rest in peace forever 💔💔💔
