In my opinion, this is Queen’s best song, along with Innuendo. It gives me a mix of a melancholic feeling and something uplifting at the same time. Freddie was in his final moments of life, and he still created such a powerful song that basically says: ‘things happen and we have to keep going.’
May he rest in peace — he will never be forgotten.
What does this song mean to you?"

Which Queen song should I do next?

He f*cking did it, darling.  Never has a dying man sounded more alive.

"I'll fucking do it, darling!"

Freddie was born to be a legend, and a legend he is!🥀🕊💙

Anyone who says that Queen was theatrical and did not rock, show them this and listen to the guitar work in this song.  Then tell them that Freddie knew he was dying and not well while singing these songs and pushed through (without autotune) and compare that to almost any artist today.

In a room full of metal heads listening to this the first time, not a dry eye to be found.

He lived art to the end. Such respect for him and his bandmates !

I was in the middle of that large crowd at Knebworth watching Queen and other bands, Freddie was the best performer i have ever seen and Queen were amazing, a day i will never forget

Freddie's voice on this is amazing given how ill he was at the time. What a legend.

Freddie Mercury hands down was and will always be “The Best” front man that graced a stage! His music will never die. I love seeing new generation reactions when they hear his voice for the first time. Love & Miss Freddie. ❤️💔🤘🏻💔❤️

I love and miss  Freddy, he will be always in my heart ❤best show man, singer, piano, guitare....France,63 years old

Brian wrote this song about Freddie and also about himself, wondering what would be his life after Queen.  This was a difficult time for Brian, he was losing his friend/brother/band mate, he just lost his father to cancer and his marriage was falling apart which would move him away from his children.  There are a lot of layers to this song in my opinion but I think beyond it all, Brian realized that being a musician was his calling and no matter what, that had to go on, one way or another.  Brian said that the image in his head when he was writing this song was of a sad clown who painted a big smile on his face for his audience.  Freddie was incredibly brave but I think Brian knew the softer man inside of Freddie, too.  Perhaps it is a little self reflection on Brian's part about how he would be feeling if he were in Freddie's shoes.  Brian is seemingly a very emotional, sensitive and loving man so I think he would have been presenting a much different image that Freddie was at this time.

There is no one in rock 'n roll history, including this era that   can ever live up to the creativity and talent of the one and only Freddie Mercury... Period!! And no one ever will!!❤🎤

This song was played over and over  on the radio when Freddie Mercury passed away. I grew up with Queen from childhood to adulthood.  Hearing it  still breaks my heart because we lost such an amazing singer and  live performer. RIP Freddie

1 of Queens gems and Masterpieces and it fits any situation the show must go on

So wonderful to see all the guys look at this great music . Impeccable taste.😂❤❤❤❤Freddie Forever ❤❤❤❤❤

He was dying but he sung his heart out, because he knew that the end was coming.
Thank you, Freddy for everything!

R.I.P.  Farrohk Bulsara( Freddy Mercury).

Cette chanson a été écrite alors que Freddy Mercury savait qu'il avait le SIDA et qu'il ne lui restait pas longtemps a vivre.
Mais le show continue

I love this song and at the same time it's 💔 every time I hear it.  There were other songs released after (he recorded a lot of his parts during the tracking for this album) but this was his goodbye. On his death bed basically doing this song.  This video too with all the past clips and memories of the band .
Mother Love was the song he actually died during the recording. There was one more verse to do and he said he'll be back tomorrow to finish it but never came back.  The guitar lead was added and Brian May did the last verse

Show must go on!
Some leave, some stay …show must go on!
Freddy Mercury just understood his situation HIV was scary when people learn about it. I was still a kid when in the news they announced this new virus, the one everyone feared.
Freddy Mercury passed away in the early 90’s.
Nowadays seems like this virus can be controlled, but what a loss for the music industry.
I don’t care if he was gay or not, he was a human being who gave us his art , and this art just fade away when he passed, although his music and his images on videos still with us, it is painful to loose a person.
