Happy 2025! Glad I’ve finally gotten a video out on this topic since it’s one I’ve always loved. This video was voted for by supporters on Patreon! I’ve also got two other videos almost finished, so expect those soon!

inFAMOUS not being so much as remastered is genuinely a crime.

It’s so weird that neither series are around anymore when I swear everyone I knew played both and loved them.

inFamous is the perfect Static Shock game. Prototype is the perfect Venom game. All in one package! ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Cole: “They call me a terrorist. They don’t even know me!”
Alex: “They call me a terrorist. They’re right 😎”

Perfect encapsulation of each game’s approach. 😂

Something that I noticed about Prototype is how packed the streets are. There's so many civilians, monsters, soldiers, tanks. It's a game where collateral damage can't be avoided, unlike inFamous. So you get to revel in that

BOTH GAMES ARE INCREDIBLE AND BOTH DESERVE A NEW ENTRY

People tend to forget that it’s actually a trio of superhero open-world games involving quarantine and karmic system, as Spider-Man: Web of Shadows had been released just half a year prior to inFamous and Prototype.

33:55 I always saw it as Kessler knowing what Cole would do either way. If the player decides A Kessler does X and if B he does Y. He is able to know this because of spoilers.

I like the way how Cole is codenamed as "Demon" while having electrical powers like Zeus. And Alex is called "Zeus" while having demonic/bloody powers.

Damn I never realized just how edgy Prototype was as a 12 years old xD

I want infamous on steam that game legit was so good

An inFamous 1 remake or a prequel following Kesslers' timeline would complete me.

inFamous is the protagonist is trying to stop an apocalypse, meanwhile his action will determine whether he will become the Superman or the Homelander.
Prototype is the protagonist trying find out what happened to him, meanwhile trying to stop a potential world-ending pandemic that he unintentionally set off, at the same time finding himself tangle in a military conspiracy involving an eldritch Lovecraftian virus

The speed and the amount of havoc you could wreck in Prototype is still something I remember fondly. Still don't know why it was received so poorly

It's weird how back when these games came out I thought they were both cool and enjoyable but nothing too special. Fast forward to today and they both feel so novel and unique.

Prototype will forever have a place in my heart. Total power fantasy, it's the kind of experience that video games were created for. I would play it all the way through, start a new game +, finish that, and start all over. Don't know how many times I did that, but I played the hell out of that game, for sure. Would love a third attempt. Having a Space Marine 2 moment for Prototype would be all I ever need.

I remember seeing a video from E3 before Prototype came out with one of the developers talking up the game. I remember he mentioned something about co-op that inevitably got cut. He was talking up how one player can fly a helicopter while the other would hang out on the wing pulling missiles off and chucking then at enemies and I've wanted this in a game ever since.

It’s unbelievable being reminded that they made a big budget “AAA” game that unabashedly nasty and not in a optional sandbox fun kinda way, it makes evil options in other games look like a joke and it’s not hiding behind satire like other option world world games do either

40:08 about that. both infamous and prototype actually have comics that takes place after their first games and before their second. i won't spoil anything as i do implore you to read it yourself before your second part of the video
