"You're essentially playing as the thing if he locked in" Preach

Never forget what they took from us.

this game will NOT be forgotten, stay strong brothers

I swear activision needs to give the Prototype IP to a studio who cares about games beyond useless cosmetics and emoting

They set up a cliffhanger with "Pariah", and the second game completely ignored that.

"Nowadays Alex profile picture is an endangered species and Alex cosplayers are critically endangered" LMAO 😂😂😂

Jacket over hoodie is timeless indeed.

"Remember Prototype?" My Brother in Blacklight I cannot forget about Prototype even if I wanted to, Mercer was and still is my favorite character of all time. The fact Activision killed this franchise when it had so much potential should be considered a crime against humanity.

Prototype is such an underrated game it needs to come back and Alex mercer has so much potential as a character

"Roleplaying as a normal soldier in the infected zones" damn that brought back some memories lol.

My sister who used to watch me play this still sometimes asks about it 15 years later

Alex/Zeus was a great main character, who the Fuck wrote that comic.

Alex was a much better protagonist imo but James’s angry ass was hilarious. That one clip you showed of him with the keyboard had me dying every time I played through.

I'd be fine with Alex being a villain in 2 if it tied in to his character as a bio-virus that inherited a human's role and memory. Maybe he could have decided that humans are too weak to survive on their own, and converting them all into viruses like him is the best way to 'help' them. As it was executed, though, it's just not possible to connect his personality in 1 with the mustache twirler in 2.

Ever since I played prototype a long time ago, ive been trying to find a similar game, seeing this in my recommendation kinda hit me like a train with nostalgia

I own this jacket from soul revolver, I bought it about 15 years ago and I still wear it to this day and it’s still hard as fuck

Alex Mercer should return as the protagonist in prototype 3 . He can return from anything if a single dna remains like Deadpool or Wolverine

My headcannon for why Alex in game couldn't take Doctor Mercer's memories is because when it was released, Dr. Mercer was mostly dead already, so any kind of genetic material that the game wants to justify where memories are stored in the body would have been mostly decomposed. In game, we never consume already dead corpses, only people who are actively still alive or very freshly dead. Dr. Mercer was presumably killed sometime before the virus was able to completely consume him, even if just shortly. This would also explain somewhat why James Heller, P2 Protagonist, doesn't have this problem since his transformation is immediate. It's also somewhat theorized that Heller has "annoyingly resistant DNA" because his DNA is more compatible with the virus, meaning it works in tandem with it rather than completely replacing the original human which is what happened to Mercer.

Prototype, Darksiders, Saintsrow were my childhood

One day, i will buy the rights to this franchise and ill buid a proper legacy  for it, this game deserved better!

the absolute BEST game for a teenager, even today, million percent
