19:57 lmao bro, you should have taken the pawn with the knight

19:58 bro Nxf5 you couldve won still lol

5:24 “Let’s do the exact same thing,” then proceeds to do a completely different move than in the last game.

19:21 In this type of endgame, with a completely symmetrical pawn structure, it is actually completely reasonable to trade a knight for a pawn—especially if it creates a passed pawn. Remember, kings can’t capture, so it’s impossible for a king to stop a passed pawn.

18:52 they could have taken that pawn with your knight and rook

Kings can't capture each other as they would both die. But that means that it's a legal move to put the kings right next to each other. Actually, that's a common strategy in the endgame: as long as your opponent's king is next to your king, you cant really capture it as that would blow up your king too, which means that for example queen and king against a king is a draw if the kings start out next to each other.

The radiation of atomic chess was causing connection issues for your opponent 😂

20:17 Rare moment where IWCM ends on a loss

He CAN survive atomic chess.

19:59 I have missed the patented IWC Blunder Laugh ❤

Silver lining is that it is fantastic content :)

fun thing about atomic is the kings can touch, since if you capture one, the other explodes

10:48 They could have taken with the queen, saving both the pawn and the knight.

3:27 if you had moved somewhere where the queen would be exploded after his move (Qe3, Qf3, f3), you could have just taken his queen after and it would have been an equal trade. Taking is almost always bad because it gives the opponent a tempo.

I think I can see why White has a major advantage. You can solo the game with one Knight. 2 moves will place you either on d4 or e4 (although e4 is way more powerful).

From there, Black has like 2 options. Either defend kingside or queenside (...and lose). And if Knight's on e4 then moving either way could STILL kill the King.

Idk if I'm right, this is just my 300 elo thinking

This variant seems like an entirely different game from chess other than how the pieces move. I know this is the case for many variants but it seems particularly true for this one. All understanding about tactics, tempo, and piece value goes entirely out the window here. My first intuition is that this has to be a solvable win for white but surprisingly that's not the case somehow. Weird variant.

Daily videos are back, lessssgooo!

(Don't take the pressure to post daily tho. Tyt!)

6:19 you missed a pawn

PAWNS ASSEMBLE THE KING HAS RETURNED!!!!!

18:20 that GASP 😆
