This is my fav lecture/sermon by Tim. I enjoyed seeing it again. The icons you added make it wonderful also. Ty

We went through this same thing w-granddaughter 😂

Yes, Jesus conquered hell, death, and the grave.

Yes indeed! Thank you.

Definitely the best sermon on hell I've ever heard. 👍

Thank you. I heard this years ago I think. But the review was even better.

Love the God who is Love.

This message is so helpful! Thanks!

Truth is we are all bound like it or not for hell
But God came into the world as Jesus who showed us the way out of that road
Jesus is the only way to keep from hell like it or not that's it. God's escape plan for us all

He calls it a sliver. I call it a splinter.

Wow. Why is this so freeing? I need to listen to a few more times. "He takes this more seriously than we do. We just plant wheat."

The background music makes it hard for me to listen to the person speaking.  It was just at the beginning of this presentation so that was helpful.

I appreciate Tim’s material greatly.  Is this true about Hell? Was it prepared for Satan and demons according to Scripture?  I would love to hear Tim discuss this.  Anyone want to weigh in?

I like what Tim says, let Jesus sort out the rest.  I always wrestled with, does he need my help.  Now, I see it's not my job. ( Don't try to pull up the weeds).  That is so.......freeing!  Now, I know my only job is to grow Wheat!
Thank you so much for this podcast and thank you Tim for this insight!

Mackie claims poetry to change context as he over spiritualizes the text.  That is my opinion.  I don't know that any of us really know and our beliefs will eventually face an actual moment before God...then we will truly know.  I don't believe over allegorizing literal phrases like "not one is good, not even one" alongside judgment phrases like "furnace of fire," "outer darkness," and "lake of fire" as poetic license to changing the script is helpful.  Personally I think both are true.  I think there is a literal hell because evil will be judged and I think a lot of the teachings in this sermon from Tim that allegorizes the text, which helps us to understand the spiritual warfare we face on the daily, is also true because hell on earth is something we face spiritually on the daily.  I do not understand how that automatically erases a literal hell for him.  Both can be true just like there are two sides of a coin.  I suspect Tim just doesn't want to believe evil will face a literal judgment in hell, I understand, but that is not at all what I see literally in the text.  Let me put it this way.  Tim seems to teach that hell is a part of the process of sanctification...read that again.  He would have you believe that Heaven pushes hell out of you because hell is a spiritual problem and is not a place.  Think through if that is actually what the text says and consider the entire counsel of God, not just a one parable.  Does the poetic prose reduce this to your spiritual condition alone?  Does the text say "there is no place called hell"?  So let me be literal because his analogy about fire at the end is wrong....factually wrong.  "Smoldering combustion" is a type of fire that can be caused by burning methanol or pure sulfur in which it is incredibly hot while at the same time it emits almost no light.  Guess what word is literally used in the original languages in The Bible?  "Sulfur."

Tim Mackie has quite the knack of explaining.  I love his sermons.   Thank you for sharing.

No one has helped me more than the Spirit of God. He and He alone, was given to us to seal us, confirm Gods presence in us. He is also given to us to teach us and guide us. Additionally, The Spirit is given to guide us into all truth. Tim Mackie is a tool but I don't follow a tool God uses, a man He uses  I follow God. I also see myself as God sees me, not what I see in the mirror. We are so prone to see what we physically look like, rather than see ourselves and others, as God sees us. The difference is weeds or Christ. God sees me in Christ, just like God, perfect in every way. On earth, in the physical, I often look and act like a weed but I am a new creature in Christ. Don't forget the truth.

God's Word describes Christ's death as a Sacrifice, a Ransom, a Propitiation in that the Son appeased the Father. Do you believe the Bible is wrong?

Hell, eternal separation from our Creator God is a Free Choice, God has given to all humanity throughout our existence to, love and obey our, Creator,
or to elevate self and believe (we/I) can be as good as, do (my) life better without our Creator/Savior God. Free will.
