MAKE THIS MAN LOOK AT THE REBOOT NOW!!!!

56:19 Monotony - Doing the same thing over and over without any change. Could also mean a musical pitch that does not change. Could be that second one?

isotope at 15 is a crime

56:20
Thats the word Monotony, which represents continuous boredom and repetition.
I think it fits the story decently well

The reason he is a pile of organs n stuff is cuz he is focusing so much power into is pendulum that he can't keep his body together.

...so like, i'll never knock someone else's opinion outside of just saying "thats crazy, good for you tho bro" but i am genuinely surprised at amusia being so low, its one of my favorite songs from this mod, it fits the pace of a pokemon battle that has just gone utterly WRONG that i kinda love it for that reason

I personally really like shitno, because to me, it fits perfectly. Remember, pokemon grey is supposed to be a shitty bootleg, and shinto is never meant to be caught. You can only do it while cheating... so shinto acts as the games shitty edgy anti cheat, under a similar vein as anti piracy screens. And given how its a shitty bootleg made by people who trapped the soul of a kid inside to make it better, of course they're gonna add some edgy monster as an anti cheat

8:00 finding my favourite song from this mod at second to last place hurts man 😭

durring isotope red was supposed to have anims when he speaks but couldn't be implemented before the mod was canned
when he says "no" its referring to him stopping bf from throwing missingno.'s ball
Purin was supposed to also have way more to the visuals including more pokemon in the background and a part where pico is put to sleep and purin faces you to reference the image it was based on

“AND THEN THEY TURNED IT INTO A RYTHYM GAME!”

Chat hear me out, if he's not good at the rhythm game, he'll be good at Chimera. That song is only 1/3rd song and no I'm not complaining ❤

I can never go back to the old Monochrome after the reboot demo came out.

13:02 I wouldn't say abandoned, it's more like this specific version got cancelled. The mod IS gretting a reboot though, infact it has a demo out now

so, 2 things, every song the pendulum is in, it's synced with the tempo, and 2, the second unown phrase you were confused about, "monotony" I believe that's fair, being dead doesn't allow for much variety in life

15:51 "repost if you dip your balls in a mcflurry" is one of my favorite things to come from this song (I do also really enjoy the song too lol)

"please hypno i need this, my child is kinda missing"

Monochrome is the reason I can still read fluid unown to this day because of how many hours i put into that song.

Ok, now you gotta talk about the new monochrome we got

Fun fact about Hypno's lullaby, specifically Monochrome:

Most people (Myself included) who want to play the mod in the modern day will end up downloading the Hypno's Lullaby Revived project, which cleans up the coding and aims to finish what the mod started before it was cancelled. The songs that are finished within Revived work as intended, and sometimes better than the original project (Namely death toll). The only song not to fall into this is Monochrome. The Hypno's Lullaby Revived project added a cheat code to skip to the end of any song in Free Play, that cheat code being "!" (I'm serious, it's just an exclamation mark). This means that you have a chance of just not being able to play Monochrome in free play, since one of the potential Unknown spell-checks is "Boo!" with an exclamation mark, which then proceeds to skip the song. To this day, if I ever want to play monochrome, I must complete both Frostbite and Insomnia to reach it without risking my run ending due to a 3 letter word appearing.

Second extra fun fact of doom and despair:

Within the revival mod, you can play "Through The Fire and the Flames", which is just a 7 minute song of you spamming notes while the level background flicks between the older levels. However, with these background changes comes a mechanic change, including Monochrome's Spell checks. The song will give you a spell check for one of the Phase 2 phrases during a looooong riff of the guitar. I only managed to beat it by getting one of my friends in a call so I could tab out of the game and they could read the phrase to me. One of these spellchecks happens at the very start of the song, and the next one? Right at the end. During 3 hold notes. Speed typing be damned, Monochrome is such a mess in the Revival mod thanks to these two songs.

56:20  The word is Monotony, the definition is as follows : Meaning: Staying the same for too long, leading to tedium or boredom. It can describe a repetitive daily routine or a single, unvarying tone of voice. So yes, it does make sense. Can't explain Hippopotamus tho.
