Ello! I'm glad to hear Chimera has had this much of an impact! Every choice was very specifically chosen, down to art styles changing throughout the full song. Thank you for covering so much, Very entertaining. I'm feeling much better since, and I'm excited for some of the additions for Chimera, side stories that connect into it via different mediums, and so on. I appreciate it.

On the gameover; Chimera Hex's arms are already broken in the song actually! As she moves closer to the player, her arms flailing around are her arms breaking out of pure pressure. Serena is designed like that in the song after Some time has passed in the field as illustrated in Step 4, from Night to Morning, blood let out. The heart is essential for the last part and why there is such a heavy focus for it in the story. Fun fact, every human heart is unique.

I love how the earphones dropping practically implies that she was just singong to music she was listening to on her phone (unlike a regulair fnf character that just sings outa nowhere, shes just singing to a song) so that when hex starts singing back abruptly shes just like "the hell is this" and tries getting out because thats the regulair person reaction instead of a fnf charter reaction

the unknown face that appears with the "CALM YOURSELF" text is actually called Xedni/"Angel" (in the game files) and she's the fleshy thing that appears after the credits

Can i be for real? I think the chimeras were just cornering serena in the closet, but since she used the flashlight of her camera, and since it's probably sensitive to light, it backed away, leaving space for serena to run.

I had never noticed she was saying "You're the one", that is such a great detail!

17:12 The sounds are actually Serena gasping for air and wincing while being ripped open! Something that makes this more terrifying is that Serena is STILL ALIVE DURING THE STEPS, obv until the last step where she barely has any organs. I cant imagine the pain of being conscious while your guts are being stripped away.

I’ve heard that the reason CHIMERA is looking for a new vessel is because HM is a rotting and decaying corpse, so the CHIMERA needs a healthy new body.

I, and some others have the theory that the vessel’s mind is active through ALL of it, wanting to find The One so their own torment can end.

A small thing that (is just my personal headcannon), but what if the reason Serena was doomed is because she failed the song? We see at furst she's moving in the fnf artstyle up until the jumpscare where she panics. We see the Chimera singing along to the song, like serena was- but she doesn't sing back. She flees. She hides. She's not doing her notes. During the hold your breath section- we see her skeleton, like when Boyfriend misses too many notes and looses a song. She's not playing along.. she lost the song. Thats why beating tge track is still a bad end for her. All hope of escape was forefit for human survival instincts, and who can blame her?

given the H.M is called "Yurei" in the pokedex, my headcanon is that the chimeras somehow forcefully keep the soul inside the corpse meaning that the vessel is still fully conscious like the half-life headcrab zombies, so its not out of the realm of possibilities that the chimera's are merely using their current host's abilities to make the hunt easier

the animation of Serena's broken arm makes my skin crawl every time. the physics of it is done so fucking well and the bone poking at the soft flesh AGH! it's so well done

I like to think that the reason HM seems semi-sentient is due to her latent medium abilities.
It's effectively completely headcanon, but I think her fighting to maintain some semblance of consciousness and control would also help to explain why the chimera are hunting for a new host. This one won't fight back.

i love the idea i've seen flated about that serena not singing back is actually what sealed her fate - if she kept singing, the two would have proceeded by FNF rules, and she would've had a fighting chance, but she didn't, so Hex Maniac went straight for the chase

I know everyone hates this song for sake of realistic and bs but when you realize it's a reference to a Yokai Mythology in japanese folklore the Omukade and the Yurei is the running theme of this song. Omukade is a giant centipedes are known as mountain dwellers that preys anyone until a Omukade was killed by Fujiwara no Hidesato in Lake Biwa with his saliva tipped arrow (this guy is awsome went into the mount mikami lair to avenge his own son and grandson. valid crashout tho), and The Yurei is basically if you didn't do right funeral and post funeral rites prayer they will curse and grudge you for the rest of next generations. Here's a theory what if The Hexmaniac is already killed by Omukade, her body is lost, never properly buried, her spirit violently unrest as the time goes and decided to go haunting someone unexpected victims and that's just a theory. (I know it's just a theory and all but damn people on the internet need to chill out. Also  i want to add this the family paintings on the walls is clearly hexmaniac parents something really tragedy happened to them and the 333 thing is different what we know in religion and in japan it's a lucky number, and an expression of san-bon-jime is a rhythmic three-clap hand-the-blessing used to close celebrations.)

By the way, if you try to pause the game, it won't let you pause it, the pause menu is completely replaced telling you "you can't quit" And if you try to close the game with Alt+f4 or Task Manager, the game would just resume from where you closed and won't let it be normal until and unless you escape from HM

My theory is by using the general rules of FNF since Serena didn’t sing back to HM it triggered some kind of game over Screen. Where for how hard serena tried she was not gonna make it out sadly

15:20 Part of the reason this is terrifying as well is the same reason that any good piece of horror media is: Excluding entering the house to begin with, Serena didn’t do anything outlandishly stupid. She acted rationally. She did everything she could in that situation, and in the end she still died. It’s as you said: she never stood a chance.

I thought the reason it was named Chimera was because of the multiple artstyles, similarly to how a Chimera has multiple heads, before I saw the endings
