Today we're having a beautiful walk through Sanur's backstreets on one of those perfect Bali days, dropping into a new cafe called Machinery down the southern end of town, and yes, I get propositioned outside one of Sanur's more colourful establishments. Just another day in paradise.

I’ve been watching your YouTube channel Sanur Diaries since I moved here nearly 4 years ago and have always appreciated the insight you share.
I just watched your recent video “a viewer accused me of faking reviews” and noticed your comments about Titi’s Bar around the 6:35 mark.
I just wanted to clarify that Titi’s Bar isn’t what was suggested in that segment. The name is often misunderstood — “Titi” is actually my partner’s name, and she’s been running the bar for 12 years (probably the longest serving landlady in Sanur)
The sign has been there since 2014, but over the past 3–4 years we’ve worked hard to change the image associated with the name of the bar even going to the extent of renaming it Titi’s Kitchen & Sports Bar (sign to be updated soon) to take away the stigma amongst westerners in general of a bar called Titties bar.
We’re very much a family-friendly venue. Every Friday we run a fish & chips night (5–9pm) which is hugely popular amongst expats and tourists that regularly sees 50+ covers, with plenty of families and kids coming in. We also serve a full expat menu through Expat Eats Bali — all homemade by Titi and her family — we even deliver these meals to places like Bali Palms Resort (Candidasa) and Tulamben Dive Resort.
We also show live sports daily and will be opening early for the upcoming World Cup with breakfast (bacon & egg rolls, coffee, tea), which again brings in a lot of families.
So when it’s described as “not really family-friendly” or “not the sort of place you’d bring your kids,” it doesn’t reflect what the bar actually is today. Comments like that can have a real impact on a small business that’s worked hard to move away from outdated assumptions tied to the name.
You’re more than welcome to come down, meet Titi, and see it for yourself — we’d love you to try the fish & chips and form an opinion based on the actual experience.
Feel free to reach out via Titi’s Kitchen & Sports Bar Facebook page if you’d like to chat directly.
