Thank you very much for this video. You can't imagine the joy we felt when we saw your video. The pilot who took you from New York to Boston is my son.
It's the first time we've enjoyed watching him fly with passengers. Thank you! God bless you.✈

honestly my biggest takeaway from this video is just how kind people are. everyone you interacted with across the country in cities large and small were so lovely

That man who gave you a ride was super kind!

Essential Air Service is the only reason my Aunt from Lake Placid who is older and doesn't drive, was able to attend my wedding in Massachusetts. It's still a very relevant and necessary thing. Thank you for bringing attention to this lesser-known part of American air travel.

Watertown SD, small town America, where the taxi driver knows the reason why the hotel door won't open automatically.  “they been trying to get the parts and they haven’t been able to get them in” 🤣😂

Honestly this looks a lot better than major airlines. Lots of legroom, no crowds, no squeezing between people in narrow seats and 30 minute boarding times.

Love Noel being recognised in the most random places in America

I spent 2 months in Cortez last summer. I met the most wonderful people. I was invited to a child's birthday party, I didn't know. I had some maintenance done on my RV and the work was done quickly. The mechanics were very detailed and polite. The place I stayed gave me a ride from the garage and back. They also gave me a cabin to stay in, in case the work was going to be overnight. The view where I was staying, was gorgeous. Every place I went, everyone was very kind. In the southwest, anyone is willing to give you a ride, even if it's 60 miles, it's never out of their way.

Super nice of that gentleman to give you a ride in Colorado.

When Noel said "Wings, Beer, Sports" is the only time he's ever sounded like he was from Texas.

Thank you Noel so much for making this video.  You have made our day.  My wife and I are new subscribers to aviation videos and now your channel as well. The algorithm works. lol. Our son is a pilot and first officer for Cape Air and my jaw dropped when I realized you had him on your flight from JFK to Boston.  He was the pilot sitting on the right and flew your JFK to Saranac leg.  Was a pleasure to get to see him flying that route and we are so happy and proud that you gave it such a great rating on your experience.  With all the bad crap going on in the world these days you made this dad’s day.  Thank you for documenting this!!!

For a Part 2 idea of the Essential Air Service Saga: Alaska to Puerto Rico in less than 10 days!!!!

This was a refreshing change from the constant stream of business and first class flight videos that are so common on Youtube these days. Things like the EAS are probably not widely known about by a lot of people, especially outside of the US or other large countries where similar services exist, so it was interesting to see this covered. Definitely a way of travelling that's worth looking into for folks just looking to meander their way around the US, seeing places off the beaten track and not in any hurry to get to a specific destination.

It's also cool to see there's still people in the world willing to help fellow travellers out too. Having been at the mercy of needing help from my fellow travellers, it makes me happy that people continue to have generosity in their hearts and help people who they see need it.

Never mind Katy Perry being in town, Noel is in town!

I like how it was the same employee doing everything in Cortez - checked you in, then showed up again to check your boarding pass, and then I think was the marshaller as well!  I wouldn't have been surprised if she hopped into the plane just before takeoff and was the first officer as well lol.

Part of why I love these is how awkward and cute Noel is with random people, compared to the hyper-confident vibe of typical vloggers.

Early in my career in the 80's, I was a clinical applications specialist for a medical imaging company. Every week I flew to 2-3 cities and towns all over the country that were big enough to have a hospital, sometimes a 50-bed regional hospital in North Dakota and other days a university medical center in New York, Chicago, or New Orleans. I took so many small prop planes that made multiple stops along the way feeling like a bus on route rather than flying. I did that for three years before heading overseas for life as an expatriate but remember traveling like this very fondly. Enjoyed your video!

The scariest part of the journey?  The driverless car.

Noel, you restore my faith in the PEOPLE in America you meet on these voyages!!!!!!
