U remind me of my grandfather, he rode a bullet 350, a very old bullet, he bought it in 1960s somehow it was still working in 2005 when he sold it, he was born in 1919 and passed away in 2015, he was the coolest and the most gentle man I knew, I got the love of bikes from him, also mechanical watches, and fountain pens. He valued craftsmanship, I do too

Shotgun may be the brains but the Interceptor is the heart.

I’m an older Yank, I’m still stuck in the 50s and during my youth I got the privilege to own most of the British bikes produced. The early British bike manufacturers provided their bikes with issues. But that was expected in those times. I still have a spot in my old heart for the British manufactured bikes. There sounds were their own. I also have own and still have a couple of older Harleys. They also came with their issues. And left me walking a few times, no matter what maintenance was pulled. Today’s bikes are problem children with all the new and improved electrical equipment. Who needs it! I’m a simple guy with a small tool kit and able to fix it if there was a need. But the new bikes ya got to have a special computer to find out what’s broke. Not for me! I’d like to add the Royal Enfield to my collection. Rode one some months back, not the same bike back in the 50s-60s time. I guess one can say it’s “refined” which is good. Even in the 70s as a young fool I did the Baja run on a Yamaha 350 dirt bike. Finished the thousand mile run, ate a lot of Mexican dirt but completed the run. Couldn’t walk for a week, the suspensions back then sucked! So I can state I’m addicted to motorcycles. They say one will never see a motorcycle parked in front of a therapist office. My shrink is the two wheels under me and the wind and Sun on my face. My old friend a 1962 Harley retired cop bike was my saver when I returned from my tour in Vietnam back in 69. That old Harley took me all over the states. Never failed me as a good friend. It helped me shake down all the issues war seems to provide. But I’m free my soul is clear cause of that old Harley taking me where ever I pointed it. I’m a poor man “Easy Rider” life is good on a bike….

i just wish the shotgun had the twin clocks like the interceptor that would make the perfect bike for me

The Shotgun looks to me like a 1980's Kawasaki. Something a "biker" would have ridden back in the day. Black leather jacket, waterproof over trousers, strap a tent on the back and head off to a rally or whatever. I love it.

I’ve noticed the build quality has improved significantly with the Super Meteor and now the Shogun. Yet, I love my Interceptor! I commute and tour on it - back roads, highways and dirt roads. My second bike will be a Classic 650 and looking forward to its release.

Very nice with a video where we can see you. Makes it more personal.

Subscriber ! 👍  Saludos desde México ✌️

Thanx for standing In the rain to make this video, it was quite informative. Hope you didn't get too wet! Cheers!!!

Excellent! Give that man a box of After Eights.

Good morning Mr Fillingham,
(Florida  6:44 a.m.)
I just want to add my thanks to the long list of thank yous for another smooth and polished video. By the way, it's nice to see you "in the flesh" rather than in bits and pieces. 👍

Good honest comparison, interesting one. Thanks. 👍

Great video, Uncle stu  👍🏻  Me Personally, I will never part with my interceptor.

Love your work chief

Hey , Stuart,  after watching lots of your videos i have to thank you .
Finally after owning probably 40 bikes over the last 40 years i found the love to the old fashioned bikes like the royal enfield bikes . I have now two of them in my garage,  the hunter 350 and a shotgun650 - and these are my two bikes i will ride as long as i can .

First of all gem of a content. First time on this channel; thought it would be  meaningless but got me subscribed instead! Was looking for interceptor reviews as I'm planning to get one. Stumbled upon this beautifully presented content and I can tell you one thing; one day I want to be where you are! My pick: always the interceptor; reason: the good old days❤️

Hi Stuart, nice summary, nothing to add. I think the look of the interceptor is timeless, this kind of machines will always be associated to the pure essence of motorcycling.

Good presentation. Enjoyed this format. Thank you.

👽 Stuart thank for the video

I’ve been trying to decide between these two for my first motorcycle, and your video was by far the most informative. The difference in the “character” of the bikes is exactly the part I needed to hear. I’m 53, and I want enough power to pass safely and ride highways if necessary, but I also want the character, and something I can tinker with and upgrade little by little. It sounds like the interceptor is just the ticket. Thanks so much for the insight and not neglecting the intangibles.
